Archie brother for Eloise

I love the nickname [name_m]Archie[/name_m] but I would like a more formal name on the birth certificate.

I can’t use [name_m]Archer[/name_m] because of our last name and I don’t like [name_m]Archibald[/name_m].

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Arther[/name_m] is too much of a stretch to use the nickname [name_m]Archie[/name_m]?

It could work. [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] work nicely together, a little bit vintage, but sound new enough ([name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is having a comeback, I believe).

I think [name_m]Archie[/name_m] works fine as a nickname for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]! [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] nn [name_m]Archie[/name_m] are perfection.

Maybe Archam? (Ark-am, but it can still work)

I’ve heard people use [name_m]Archie[/name_m] for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]/[name_m]Arther[/name_m], and it /does/ sound good with [name_u]Eloise[/name_u].

I thought [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] was the normal longform of [name_m]Archie[/name_m], so it definitely works.

I don’t see why not! If I can use it for [name_m]Archimedes[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] should be fine as well. .

I love [name_m]Archie[/name_m]. I think it’s fine for a nn for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], and I’ve also seen it as nn for [name_m]Charles[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Archie[/name_m] for [name_m]Charles[/name_m]! (Works for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] too but I like the name [name_m]Charles[/name_m] with [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]).

I love [name_m]Archie[/name_m] in full, but [name_m]Archie[/name_m] is my favourite nn for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], so I think it works either way.
