Are any of these names off the table?

What do you think about these names for our third baby? I love each of them as individual names, but they kind of conflict with my kid’s names, [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Anthony[/name_m]. Would you consider any of them to be unusable?

[name_f]Anna[/name_f]/[name_f]Anne[/name_f]/[name_f]Annalise[/name_f]/[name_f]Annika[/name_f] - [name_f]Frances[/name_f] has the [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sound, so would they be weird as siblings?

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - I am very against alliteration, and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] has an F sound like [name_f]Frances[/name_f]? Am I overreacting?

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]/[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] - Same problem as [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], but with [name_u]Jude[/name_u]'s name

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] - I love the name [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (and it has meaning to me), but [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is my niece’s middle name. Her first name is [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and sometimes she goes by [name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f], but not exclusively, so would a cousin named [name_f]Kate[/name_f] be weird? They would be 5 years apart so close in age.

[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]/[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - Both kid’s names are short, so would these names (or other 4 syllable names) fit?

Thanks!

I like alliteration but my favorites would be [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], and [name_f]Annika[/name_f]. I pronounce [name_f]Annika[/name_f] with an [name_m]AH[/name_m] different from [name_f]Frances[/name_f] but I think either way would be fine. I also think Kathleen would be fine.
I’ll add:

Alice
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
Irene
[name_u]Marion[/name_u]
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Susan[/name_f]

I don’t think any of these are off the table, and I’m generally quite picky about avoiding sibset overlap.

If you really dislike alliteration, [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] might be the only one I’d reconsider, because it not only shares the opening sound of [name_f]Frances[/name_f] but is also the same length and for the same sex. I find [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]/[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] different enough in all other ways that the similar opening sounds barely even register with me.

My faves with your set are [name_f]Anna[/name_f]/[name_f]Annika[/name_f]/[name_f]Annalise[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. All feel like strong, sophisticated classics ([name_f]Annika[/name_f] perhaps on the quirky side of classic, but still lovely and traditional).

Great suggestions above! A few more, just in case…

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Marianne[/name_f]/[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]/[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Catrin[/name_f]

[name_f]Anna[/name_f]/[name_f]Anne[/name_f]/[name_f]Annalise[/name_f]/[name_f]Annika[/name_f] - I’d get rid rid of [name_f]Anne[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f], in case [name_f]Frances[/name_f] decides she wants to go by the nickname [name_u]Fran[/name_u] they’d be too close. [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] and [name_f]Annika[/name_f] are fine though!

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] - I really don’t think they sound that close to [name_f]Frances[/name_f] or [name_u]Jude[/name_u]. So it’s down to your personal preference and whether or not the f sound bothers you.

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] - I’d personally ask my family about this so there’s not any drama.

[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]/[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - I don’t think the length is a problem. They’re all the same style so it’s not like you’d have a [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and an [name_f]Iolanthe[/name_f].

My personal favorites are [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] and [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]. Stunning names.

[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]

I don’t think any of these are off the table! The only one I would maybe hesitate about is [name_f]Ann[/name_f]/[name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s obviously close to [name_f]Frances[/name_f], but if you spend your life calling out the two names in succession, you may get a bit tongue-tied.

As a side note, I am a [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and I was sometimes called [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] as a child, but it faded away as soon as I hit elementary school. If you have a little [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] (which I love!), then [name_f]Lily[/name_f] will probably just be [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and it shouldn’t be a problem.

[name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] is an amazing sibset [name_f]IMO[/name_f], they fit so well together

What about [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] or [name_f]Thea[/name_f]?
