Are the names [name_m]Charles[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m] too close for brothers? Especially if they would have older siblings [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m] and [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]? They would probably be called [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]Archie[/name_m] a good bit.
I don’t think they’re too close. They have some similar sounds but I doubt that if you called out “[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]!” [name_m]Archie[/name_m] would end up responding and vice versa.
I agree with Emmievis, if you shouted them both from across a house/playground I think they’d be distinguishable which to me means they’re not too close.

I think [name_m]Charles[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m] are not too close, but [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]Archie[/name_m] are way too similar for me. Maybe you could use other nicknames or no nicknames at all? [name_m]Chucky[/name_m] and [name_m]Archie[/name_m], [name_m]Chaz[/name_m] and [name_m]Archie[/name_m], even [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_m]Arch[/name_m]/[name_m]Arc[/name_m] sound more distinct.
[name_f]IMO[/name_f], yes, they are.
