Are Evelyn/Evie and Olivia too similar for sisters?

HELP! Trying to decide on a name for our baby girl #2 due in 1 week!

Our oldest is [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but we call her [name_f]Liv[/name_f] / [name_f]Livie[/name_f] fairly often.

One of the names we like is [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (a family name) but I’m worried that it’s too close to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - especially the nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f] (pronounced EE-vie) - which is what we’d call her.

My husband doesn’t think this is a big deal ([name_f]Olivia[/name_f]/[name_f]Liv[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f]).

What do you all think? Are these names/nicknames too similar?

I love [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] together! I don’t think [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] because even though they share the v sound they have other dominating sounds (O and A in [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]/E is [name_f]Evie[/name_f]).
I also like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Anna[/name_f]. I’m really not fond of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and I don’t think it goes brilliantly with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] however if you call [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Livvy[/name_f]/[name_f]Liv[/name_f] I think they’re too close. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is my favourite, followed by [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and then lastly [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Olivia[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] are perfect for sisters.

I think they sound sweet together. Not too close.

I think they’re close, but there’s nothing necessarily wrong with that. It’s to your taste. If you’re having any doubts, it’s safe to search around for something better.
