Are hyphenated names too much?

What do you think about hyphenated names? My top boy name (for maybe 2 years now) has been [name_m]Ben[/name_m]-[name_f]Ami[/name_f] and I still think I will end up using it. I also love [name_m]Solomon[/name_m] nn [name_m]Sol[/name_m], but other than that, I really don´t like many boys’ names in the first name spot. I was wondering if it would make sense to make another hyphenated name, similar to [name_m]Ben[/name_m]-[name_f]Ami[/name_f].

I love the names:
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Lev[/name_m]

The top two are too popular to stand alone and [name_m]Lev[/name_m] is too short [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. So what if I combined them with other names?

Some first name options:

Erza-[name_m]Lev[/name_m]
[name_m]Lev[/name_m]-[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Nir[/name_m]-[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]-[name_m]Lev[/name_m]
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m]-[name_m]Lev[/name_m]
[name_u]Ira[/name_u]-[name_m]Lev[/name_m]

Can you think of anything else? [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to add other Hebrew names of a similar vibe, or more uncommon one if you feel so inclined! Thank you!

I’m all for double names, and I don’t think they need to be hyphenated. A name like [name_m]Ben[/name_m]-[name_f]Ami[/name_f], which is a phrase type of name, might carry a hyphen better, but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary.

[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Lev[/name_m] of [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Lev[/name_m] should’t have a hyphen, in my opinion. [name_m]Just[/name_m] name him both, and call him both. If he has that and an additional name, he’d have 3 names, and be called regularly by two.

I like [name_m]Lev[/name_m]-[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] a lot

[name_u]True[/name_u] I didn’t even think of that!
