I would have said yes if it were just [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Maris[/name] but with the other siblings mixed in I think it is ok.

I think they’re too similar. Plus the fact that [name]Mia[/name] is very popular right now while the only [name]Maris[/name] I’ve ever known of (I’m in the US btw) was a sometimes mentioned but never seen character on a TV show. [name]Mia[/name] and [name]Marissa[/name] are nice together though.

I said yes, but I too believe that since there are a lot of kids in the mix that the name similarities could be overlooked. [name]Will[/name] they be next to each other in age?

No, not at all. I wonder why so many people voted for ‘yes’. I don’t think they are too similar.

[name]Mia[/name] and [name]Maris[/name] would be separated by [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Ronan[/name].

I think it’s fine. While [name]Maris[/name] does have all of the letter’s of [name]Mia[/name]'s name in it, the sounds are very different to me ([name]MARE[/name]-iss, I’m guessing?). Unless you’re really against reusing a first initial (which I’m guessing you aren’t, since I know you were considering (are considering?) [name]Malcolm[/name] for a boy…), I don’t see a problem with it at all. Besides, [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Ronan[/name] separate the two so I think it’s a non-issue. :slight_smile:
