[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] & [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] are too close to be sisters? I tried doing @mayday’s rule of thumb where you imagine yelling for each and if they aren’t distinguishable, then they’re too close. However, I honestly can’t tell if they sound different enough.
I don’t think they sound similar at all, only the ending sounds the same. The rest of the names are completely different.
My brother and I are [name_f]Carys[/name_f] and Lewys - ridiculously similar yet we’ve never had an issue.
I think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] are lovely sister names.
They have a similar ending with EE sound but other than that they aren’t all that similar! I think they are different enough to be sisters.
I love this combo! If it makes you feel any better, I knew sisters [name_f]Willa[/name_f] and [name_f]Milla[/name_f], and although similar but not as bad, [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] going only by ‘[name_f]Immy[/name_f]’ and ‘[name_u]Izzy[/name_u]’

I think they’re fine as sisters. More similar in origins than actual sound. Both are beautiful names.
Good to hear (read) no one’s thinking they’re too similar as sisters! I’ve seen a lot of people that do on various websites, but wanted [name_u]Berry[/name_u] opinions, lol. Thank you all for your replies
