Are Simona and Luna too out there?

Husband and I are trying to decide on a girls name for baby due in 3 months.
Are favorites right now are [name_f]Simona[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. Which do you prefer?
[name_f]Sister[/name_f] to [name_f]Emelia[/name_f]. Wondering if these names sound too “out there”?

Other faves are [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Ariella[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].

Thanks!’

No it’s not too out there! I definitely prefer [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], but it does sound more mystical compared to the delicate [name_f]Emelia[/name_f]. If that will be a problem, then I suggest using [name_f]Luna[/name_f] as a middle name. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]/[name_f]May[/name_f] is absolutely stunning and would age well with [name_f]Emelia[/name_f] best of luck to you!

Thanks!! It’s good to hear feedback from people other than my mother

Neither are too ‘out-there’. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are uncommon enough yet far from obscure. I prefer [name_f]Luna[/name_f] myself - makes me imagine fireflies dancing in the moonlight (not that I’ve ever seen fireflies outside of film…they’re pretty much a creature of awe and whimsy here in [name_m]Oz[/name_m], very rarely sighted).

Aw, I love that association! I’m from Chicago in the U.S. and we have fireflies, and they are certainly mystical and divine! Thanks!
