We’re trying for our second baby and having fun thinking of names! If we have another boy, we’re liking the idea of Lachlan. Our first son’s name is Sullivan though. Are Sullivan and Lachlan too similar to each other for brothers? Possibly nicknames of Sully and Lachie/Lachy too?
- Yes, they sound too similar for brothers
- Eh, they sound kind of similar but it still works for brothers
- No, I think they work great as names for brothers
I think they sound totally fine! They both have a rugged, but gentle sound! [name_m]Sully[/name_m] and [name_m]Lachie[/name_m] are lovely!

I think they would work better if the nicknames were [name_m]Sully[/name_m] & [name_m]Lock[/name_m]

I think they’re fine, they have similar endings but don’t share any other sounds!
It makes me think of a sibset I know with 4 little boys names Hayden Morgan Lincoln & Corbin. Which are even more similar and they’ve had no problems!

@Greyblue Thank you! I thought they felt very similar style wise as well which is why I liked them together!
@aylacoggins I like how [name_m]Sully[/name_m] and [name_m]Lock[/name_m] sound vastly different from one another! Thank you
@LibelluleClaire Oh wow those names are definitely much more similar! I guess the beginnings of the names are different enough that they work still. Thanks!

@AmyVermeersch Their names sound very good together!
@aylacoggins I also think that [name_m]Sully[/name_m] and [name_m]Lock[/name_m] flow better.
