Are there any good botanical boys names?

My taste in girls names are very botanical based, some of my very top favorites being [name]Flora[/name] and [name]Laurel[/name]. My boys names are different, not much of a pattern to them at all except maybe some of them have a western fell to them. But I was wondering what the male counterpart to my flowery female names would be? Are there any good botanical boys names or should I look to nature names in general? What boys names do you suggest for me?

Hmmm some botanical boys names or earthy boy names that I can think of are:

[name]Reed[/name]/[name]Reid[/name]
[name]Briar[/name]
[name]Ash[/name]
[name]Fox[/name]
[name]Birch[/name]

Would [name]Heath[/name] count?

[name]Thorn[/name]
[name]Aspen[/name]

I like [name]Reed[/name] & [name]Fox[/name] & [name]Heath[/name]

The boys’ botanical names do seem to come from trees more than flowers…

Alder
[name]Beech[/name]
[name]Cedar[/name]
[name]Forest[/name] (does that count?)
[name]Hawthorn/name
[name]Oakes[/name] (close…)
Poplar
[name]Aster[/name]
[name]Banyan[/name]
Sedge
[name]Cotton[/name]
[name]Linden[/name]
Oleaster (not sure if this is boyish or girlish…or either/neither)
[name]Rowan[/name]

My favorite is [name]Ash[/name] or [name]Reed[/name]

[name]River[/name]
[name]Stone[/name]
[name]Granite[/name]
[name]Storm[/name]
[name]Cove[/name]

[name]Sage[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Ash[/name]
[name]Reed[/name]

[name]How[/name] bout: [name]Sequoia[/name], [name]Elm[/name], [name]Ash[/name], Alder, [name]Oak[/name], [name]Leaf[/name], Oleander, [name]Glade[/name], [name]Forrest[/name], [name]Hawthorn[/name], [name]Almus[/name], [name]Cedar[/name], [name]Atlas[/name], Firs: [name]Douglas[/name] & [name]Fraser[/name], [name]Linden[/name], Sycamore.

I really like [name]Sequoia[/name] the best. Maybe Alder and [name]Ash[/name] too.

[name]Cyprus[/name] is one of my favorites. I think [name]Cyprus[/name] trees are just magnificent!

[name]How[/name] do u pronounce [name]Cyprus[/name]?

[name]Reid[/name] is my favorite and it sounds like it appeals to lots of folks on here.

I also like [name]Clay[/name] and [name]Stone[/name].

[name]Cyprus[/name] is pronounced like SIGH-prus.

For a more unique botanical name there’s also Coriander

Calamus would be really cool. You could use the nn [name]Cal[/name] or [name]Calum[/name].

[name]Bryar[/name]/[name]Briar[/name], [name]Reed[/name]/[name]Reid[/name], [name]Stone[/name], would all be great choices.
