Are there any instances of you liking the male or female version of a name...

… or of liking a unisex name for both genders?

For example I like [name_m]Eric[/name_m] and [name_f]Erika[/name_f]

I’m curious because despite gendered variations of a name can be really similar but get polarizing reactions from people. What do you berries think?

EDIT: I can’t edit the title whoops it’s supposed to be “male AND female”

Some i like:
[name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_f]Georgianna[/name_f]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]/[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]
[name_m]Isidore[/name_m] and [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]
[name_m]Leander[/name_m] and [name_f]Leandra[/name_f]
[name_m]Lysander[/name_m] and Lysandra
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] and [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]

As for unisex names, I like [name_u]Bo[/name_u]/[name_u]Beau[/name_u], [name_u]Azariah[/name_u], [name_u]Quincy[/name_u], [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] on any gender

I love [name_u]Claude[/name_u] on boys and girls. I like it better on boys, but [name_u]Claude[/name_u] for a girl is still one of my favorite names. [name_u]Sinclair[/name_u] fits into this category too.

[name_m]Eric[/name_m] and [name_f]Erika[/name_f] are both beautiful names! I also like [name_m]Norman[/name_m] and [name_f]Norma[/name_f], as well as [name_m]Johann[/name_m] and [name_f]Johanna[/name_f].

On the other hand, my favorite male name is [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] but I can’t get on board with [name_f]Regina[/name_f]. Same thing with [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] both. I agree with @fungusamongus, [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] are not equal at all. I’m the opposite with [name_m]Reginald[/name_m] and [name_f]Regina[/name_f]; I don’t like the former but love the latter.

I like:

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (but not [name_m]Charles[/name_m])
[name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] / [name_f]Georgianna[/name_f]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] / [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_m]Lucien[/name_m] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]
[name_u]Shaun[/name_u] and [name_f]Shauna[/name_f]

And I have Hollin on my boys list and [name_f]Holly[/name_f] on my girls list. Hollin is from Tolkien, but to me it sounds like a male version of [name_f]Holly[/name_f] (and it comes from the word holly).

I like both [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_u]Simone[/name_u].

I still like a lot of names “gone to the girls,” for both sexes:

[name_u]Aubrey[/name_u]
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_u]Lindsay[/name_u]
[name_u]Morgan[/name_u]
[name_u]Reese[/name_u]
[name_u]Shannon[/name_u]
[name_u]Sidney[/name_u]

My favourite name with two versions would be [name_u]Brett[/name_u] and [name_f]Brette[/name_f].

[name_m]Lucien[/name_m]/[name_u]Luca[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]/[name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]/[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_m]Aurelien[/name_m] and [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

[name_m]Gerald[/name_m] & [name_f]Geraldine[/name_f]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m] & [name_f]Pauline[/name_f], [name_f]Paula[/name_f], [name_f]Paulette[/name_f], [name_f]Paulina[/name_f]
[name_m]William[/name_m] & [name_f]Williamina[/name_f]

Unisex for both:

Hmm…

[name_m]Simon[/name_m] & [name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] & [name_f]Christiana[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] & [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]/[name_f]Theodosia[/name_f]
[name_m]David[/name_m] & [name_f]Davina[/name_f]
[name_m]Joseph[/name_m] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] & [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]
[name_m]Brian[/name_m] & [name_f]Briana[/name_f]

[name_m]Callum[/name_m] & [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] both mean “dove”…do they count as a set? I do really like both of those names…

I have just as many sets that I like one but not the other, though:

[name_f]Alexandria[/name_f] yes; [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] no
[name_m]Paul[/name_m] yes, [name_f]Paula[/name_f] etc. no

For either I like [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_u]Yael[/name_u] and a bunch of others I can’t think of right now!

Usually I like the male or female version more than the other.

I looove [name_m]Isadore[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but I can’t bring myself to see the feminine versions the same way.
