Are these 'different' in a bad way/TOO weird?

I’m finally getting away from the top 100 names I used to like. The names I like now don’t seem weird or too out there to me, but I have seen some comments on here that are making me not so sure anymore. So, are these TOO weird? [name]Do[/name] they make you want to cringe or ask yourself what kind of crazy parent would name their child this? I really want to know your honest opinions!!
[name]McKinley[/name]/[name]Mckinley[/name] - I have seen this as a girl and boy name- is it ok for girls? Too masculine?
[name]McKenna[/name]/[name]Makenna[/name]
[name]Hadleigh[/name] - no, I do not like [name]Hadley[/name]
[name]Clarissa[/name] nn [name]Clara[/name]
[name]Kensington[/name]
[name]Rosalie[/name]

I’ll be brutally honest, since you say that’s what you want, and say that everything except [name]Clarissa[/name]/[name]Clara[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] makes me cringe a bit. I wouldn’t use [name]Rosalie[/name] myself, but it’s not a bad name. I do really like [name]Clara[/name].

I’m going to be positive first. I like [name]Rosalie[/name], its a great name. The honest truth about the others? They aren’t weird or different- they are trendy and just not my cup if tea at all.

[name]Rosalie[/name] is the only one I really like, in the sense that it’s a name I like.

[name]Clarissa[/name] is one that I can get on board. I don’t like it, but it’s not awful.

I could get on board with [name]Hadley[/name], but if you have to have the [name]Hadleigh[/name] spelling, then no.

And the others I don’t like at all. The problem I have with them is that they aren’t “respectable” names, meaning if two people with equal capabilities filled out an application and one was named [name]McKenna[/name] and the other [name]Elizabeth[/name], well I’ll bet [name]Elizabeth[/name] would be the one they pick.

Now this is all just my opinion, so feel free to take it or leave it.

I’m not one to judge. We all have our own name style. To each their own.

[name]Mckinley[/name] - If [name]Madison[/name] and [name]Mackenzie[/name] can work on girls, why not [name]Mckinley[/name]?
[name]Makenna[/name] - I actually really like this name.
[name]Hadleigh[/name] - I prefer [name]Hadley[/name]. But I guess this could work, thanks to [name]Ashleigh[/name].
[name]Clarissa[/name] - A pretty safe choice compared to others on your list. [name]Love[/name] the nn [name]Clara[/name].
[name]Kensington[/name] - Same commentary as [name]Mckinley[/name].
[name]Rosalie[/name] - A lovely choice if you don’t mind the Twilight association.

[name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Clarissa[/name] ‘[name]Clara[/name]’ are nice.

[name]McKinley[/name] makes me think of the high school in Glee, plus I don’t like Mc names, so don’t like [name]McKenna[/name] either.

[name]Kensington[/name] is a really posh area of [name]London[/name], as as such, I find it really REALLY pretentious.

I’m going to have to second this, and the others’ comments. The names on your list, other than [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name], aren’t weird. They’re trendy, and not in a good way.

[name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Clarissa[/name] are more my taste. I prefer the more traditional spellings of the Mc- names, without the-a- and with Capitilization following the c. I know a [name]McKenna[/name], she’s a sweet little girl who wears the name just fine. [name]Hadleigh[/name] can work, but prone to misspelling.

I could see girl’s with any of those names. I like [name]Rosalie[/name] best, myself. [name]Makenna[/name] has grown on me a little too.

I think you might have stepped into a hornets nest.
By in large, most Berries don’t have a great fondness for trendy spellings and names.
So if you are getting less than glowing responses to [name]Hadleigh[/name], [name]McKenna[/name], [name]Kensington[/name] etc that’s probably why.

The only one off of your list I’d actually consider is [name]Rosalie[/name]. And I don’t dislike [name]Clarissa[/name]/[name]Clara[/name].
The others just don’t fit my style. I could see [name]Hadleigh[/name] working but the -leigh ending just doesn’t do it for me.

While these names aren’t all my cup of tea, I don’t think any of them are weird or out there. For the most part, they very much fit into a lot of current trends.

[name]McKinley[/name]/[name]Mckinley[/name] - I don’t really like this name, especially for a girl. Makes me think of Mount [name]McKinley[/name]…
[name]McKenna[/name]/[name]Makenna[/name] - [name]McKenna[/name] is a guilty pleasure of mine (though I dislike [name]Makenna[/name]). I wouldn’t use it, but I think it’s pretty. It seems more feminine than a lot of the surname names that are popular.
[name]Hadleigh[/name] - Not my style at all. I don’t like [name]Hadley[/name] either
[name]Clarissa[/name] nn [name]Clara[/name] - Not weird at all. Quite a pretty name.
[name]Kensington[/name] - [name]One[/name] of the few other surname names that I like. I think it’s cute. I see some people think it seems posh because of the area of [name]London[/name]. In my city, [name]Kensington[/name] is where you go for vintage clothing and [name]Asian[/name] grocery stores, so it doesn’t seem posh to me.
[name]Rosalie[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it.

[name]McKinley[/name] and [name]McKenna[/name] seem too trendy for me and Mc-names aren’t my cup of tea per se.

[name]Hadleigh[/name] - While I don’t really care for either spelling, I prefer this spelling a little more.

[name]Clarissa[/name] - Know a girl with this name who I don’t like, but I must admit this name is elegant.

Kenzington - That is one surname-as-a-first that wouldn’t flow to well [name]IMO[/name]…

[name]Rosalie[/name] - Beautiful and classic!

[name]Rosalie[/name] is one of my all time favorites and [name]Clarissa[/name] is far from horrible.

The rest, though - yeah, they’re pretty terrible. Masculine, misspelled surnames. Weird? No - trendy and tasteless, yes.

[name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Clarissa[/name] are great, and fine for any scenario I think.

[name]McKinley[/name] is so juvenile, and immature. I can’t get behind it.
[name]McKenna[/name] is juvenile, but it’s better than [name]McKinley[/name].
[name]Hadleigh[/name] is just a mess, horrid on a girl imo.
[name]Kensington[/name] is nice, I like it but it can give off a pretentious air if this isn’t some sort of honoring thing.

[name]Just[/name] to clarify, I had no idea [name]Kensington[/name] was an area in [name]London[/name] or even that it was a place. I had never seen it before until a comment on a thread a few days ago when I was looking for something that would work with the nickname [name]Kinzie[/name], which I really like. I live in the US in [name]Indiana[/name] (if you don’t know anything about it- think corn fields.). Thanks for the opinions and info so far! [name]Just[/name] wanted to explain that:)

[name]Mckinley[/name] - This is a big guilty pleasure of mine, but I agree that is is trendy and wouldn’t age very well
[name]McKenna[/name] - I really don’t see how “Mc” names are trendy. [name]Every[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name]/[name]Mckayla[/name], [name]McKenna[/name], etc. that I know is in their 20’s. To me [name]McKenna[/name] comes off as a little 90’s/dated to me. It’s a great name, however.
[name]Hadleigh[/name] - I can’t get on bored with this. [name]Hadley[/name] is adorable, [name]Hadleigh[/name] comes off as childish
[name]Clarissa[/name] - This is SO dated to me. [name]Clarissa[/name] explains it all is all that comes to mind.
[name]Kensington[/name] - [name]Way[/name] too try hard
[name]Rosalie[/name] - Too expected. Maybe it’s nameberry trendy, but I feel like I see a person considering this name a day.

[name]McKinley[/name]/[name]Mckinley[/name] - I know 1 [name]McKinley[/name], a girl. A friend will be having a girl within the next week, and they’re between [name]Anna[/name] and [name]McKinley[/name] for her name. I actually really like it on a girl!
[name]McKenna[/name]/[name]Makenna[/name] - I like it. I like both spellings. It depends on the day which spelling I like more.
[name]Hadleigh[/name] - If you did the [name]Hadley[/name] spelling yes, but since you like the [name]Hadleigh[/name] spelling, no.
[name]Clarissa[/name] nn [name]Clara[/name] - This one seems dated to me. [name]Clara[/name] is growing on me, though. And it works as a stand alone name.
[name]Kensington[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] it! I know a [name]Kensington[/name] nn [name]Kenzie[/name]!!
[name]Rosalie[/name] - I like it! [name]Rosa[/name] could be a cute nn.

None of them are my naming style except clarissa and rosalie

Not weird at all, just the opposite. Most of them are very trendy and popular. I admit to liking [name]Kensington[/name] though.

I don’t think any of these names are weird or out there. They are all pretty generic, trendy names. [name]McKenna[/name] was a dime-a-dozen name in the late nineties - everyone was naming their daughter [name]McKenna[/name]. [name]McKinley[/name] sounds super made-up and trendy - trendy is not a compliment in my mind. [name]Rosalie[/name] reminds me of twilight. [name]Clarissa[/name] is just a really bad knock-off of [name]Melissa[/name] [name]Joan[/name] [name]Hart[/name] ([name]Clarissa[/name] Explains It All) and [name]Hadley[/name] should not be spelled any other way. I know someone who named their daughter Kenzington and it just seems pretentious. Sorry to be so blunt but You asked for honestly and none of these names are my style at all. I much prefer more timeless, quirky names.
