Are these name to similar for sisters?

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]? I think they’re simple but romantic, and maybe a bit whimsical. However, they both have that long “I” in the beginning. Are they too close sounding? My other choice is [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. I’m open to other suggestions as well. Thanks!

I think it works better if [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] is said first. [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. In general, I don’t think they are two similar for sisters. The variations of [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] are so popular today so I prefer [name_f]Lyra[/name_f].

I don’t think they are too similar at all! [name_f]Love[/name_f] this pair

They have a similar sound, but I think they are lovely!

I tried to say them both out loud and ending up saying Vyla. The first syllable is too close in my opinion. I prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] together. They complement each together well while [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] don’t.

What about [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Lillia[/name_f]?
[name_f]LIL[/name_f]-ee-ə, [name_f]LIL[/name_f]-yə

What about [name_f]Viola[/name_f] or [name_f]Violetta[/name_f]? These are the pronunciations. vie-O-lə (English), vee-O-lə (English), VIE-ə-lə (English), VYO-lah (Italian).

The second pronunciation would work best with [name_f]Lyra[/name_f].

[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] is pronounced vee-ah-LYE-tah

While I prefer the name [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] to [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], i don’t think that your original pairing is too similar at all! Good choices!

Thanks, All!!
