I’m thinking I love the combo [name_u]Blakely[/name_u] [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] boyfriend agrees on [name_u]Blakely[/name_u], and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] gives it that girly touch. I think they sound good together… But are the names too different? [name_u]Blakely[/name_u] is tomboyish and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is super frilly so I’m just worried that they sound funny together for those reasons.
Are you saying Es-mee or Es-may? I find the flow to be off more than the contrast in styles…
I agree. I don’t find the styles too different at all, but the flow feels off no matter which pronunciation you use.
[name_u]Blakely[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] sounds rather nice. For some reason I really like the sound of a one syllable middle paired with [name_u]Blakely[/name_u].
I think with FN/MN combos that the names being too different is fine, especially when one is a unisex or last name sort of name and the other is a girly name to balance it out.
The one thing I have to say is that the two names don’t flow together well [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Sorry.
I personally don’t think they go together. Not b/c of the style, but because they sort of rhyme. One ends in “[name_u]LEE[/name_u]” and the other “MEE.”
P.S [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is cute
