I’m not currently expecting, this is just for future reference.
Also, sorry if this is the wrong section, I’m new to posting
These are names I like that I think or know are too similar.
[name]Do[/name] you think the set is similar?
Which do you think is the better choice?
[name]Rylan[/name], [name]Ryder[/name] or [name]Ryan[/name]
[name]Violet[/name] or [name]Viola[/name]
[name]Leah[/name], [name]Leelah[/name](I like the pronunciation so if there’s a better spelling, throw it my way), or [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Aiden[/name] and [name]Caden[/name] (I know both of these are getting really popular, I may never use either, I’m just curious)
[name]Bryan[/name] and [name]Bryce[/name] (what about [name]Bryan[/name] and [name]Brylee[/name] or [name]Bryce[/name] and [name]Brylee[/name]…[name]Brylee[/name] is for a girl but in honor of my dad [name]Bryan[/name] [name]Lee[/name])
[name]Cameron[/name] and [name]Cooper[/name]
[name]Peyton[/name] (boy) and [name]Parker[/name] (boy)
[name]Arielle[/name], [name]Juliette[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name]
[name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Christian[/name] (not twins, just siblings…or twins. I don’t know if I’ll have twins so whichever)
Thanks for your input.
random semi-unrelated side note: about [name]Arielle[/name], how do you pronounce it when it’s spelled [name]Arielle[/name]? Is [name]Ariel[/name] pronounced differently?
[name]Rylan[/name]>[name]Ryan[/name]>[name]Ryder[/name]–You might be able to get way with [name]Ryder[/name] & [name]Ryan[/name].
[name]Viola[/name]>[name]Violet[/name]–too similar
[name]Amelia[/name]>[name]Leila[/name]>[name]Leah[/name]–too similar
[name]Aiden[/name] and [name]Caden[/name]–I like both, honestly, despite their popularity.
[name]Brice[/name]>[name]Brian[/name]–[name]Don[/name]'t like the y’s, personally. Too similar
[name]Cooper[/name]>[name]Cameron[/name]–[name]Cameron[/name] is a unisex name. Really like [name]Cooper[/name], meh on [name]Cameron[/name]. Cute sibset.
[name]Parker[/name]>[name]Peyton[/name]–All the Peytons I know I girls. Could work as a sibset.
[name]Arielle[/name]>[name]Juliet[/name]>[name]Danielle[/name]–You could do [name]Ariel[/name]/le and [name]Juliet[/name] or [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name]. Not [name]Arielle[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name].
[name]Tristan[/name]>[name]Christian[/name]–Could use one as a MN.
[name]Just[/name] my opinions. [name]Lovely[/name] names!
[name]Ryan[/name] ([name]Rylan[/name] reminds me of that idiot who was on the x factor)
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Leah[/name] (You could spell [name]Leelah[/name] [name]Lila[/name]?)
[name]Caden[/name]
[name]Brylee[/name] or [name]Bryan[/name]
[name]Cameron[/name]
[name]Parker[/name] for a boy, [name]Peyton[/name] for a girl.
[name]Arielle[/name]
[name]Christian[/name].
I would say [name]Arielle[/name] like the start of [name]Ariana[/name] and [name]Elle[/name] on the end and [name]Ariel[/name] like a television ariel.
sidura- Thank you for saying whether or not you think they’re similar and putting them in order of your favorite to least favorite. About the y’s, I just happen to prefer them. I didn’t know the spelling [name]Brice[/name] could be used as a first name, I thought that was the last name spelling, I kind of like it though. [name]Bryan[/name]/[name]Brian[/name]…I prefer the y cause that’s how my dad spells his name. I know [name]Cameron[/name] is a unisex name, I prefer it on a boy. I know that [name]Peyton[/name] also is unisex, but I don’t know anybody with this name so it goes either way for me and I just happen to think it suits a boy better but that’s just me. [name]Leila[/name]? I’m so confused on this. I thought [name]Leila[/name] could be pronounced the same as [name]Leelah[/name] but everybody told me it was pronounced like [name]Layla[/name]. Apparently the ei makes the same sound it does in sleigh but I was thinking ei like in weird where it makes the e sound. As for [name]Lila[/name], I thought that was lie-la. I could be wrong. [name]Lela[/name] and [name]Lelah[/name] aren’t bad either, I just haven’t fallen in love with a spelling yet. Except for [name]Leila[/name] but again, I was told that it’s wrong. bluesuedeshoes22- Thank you. I don’t watch the x factor so I don’t know who you’re talking about haha. A band I listen to has a member named [name]Ryland[/name] and it caught my attention but I preferred it without the d, so that’s why I know of the name [name]Rylan[/name], no bad associations for me. Again, I just happen to prefer [name]Peyton[/name] for a boy, personal taste I guess.
So [name]Arielle[/name] is are-e-elle and [name]Ariel[/name] is air-e-uhl?
[name]Ryan[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Aiden[/name]
[name]Bryan[/name]. [name]Bryce[/name] (couldn’t really pick between the two. both are okay)
[name]Cameron[/name]
[name]Parker[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Christian[/name]
I know a girl who pronounces her name [name]Leelah[/name] and spells it [name]Leila[/name].
[name]Rylan[/name], [name]Ryder[/name] or [name]Ryan[/name] [name]Violet[/name] or [name]Viola[/name] [name]Leah[/name], [name]Leelah[/name], or [name]Amelia[/name]: Can’t decide between [name]Leah[/name] or [name]Amelia[/name]. [name]Aiden[/name] and [name]Caden[/name]
[name]Bryan[/name] and [name]Bryce[/name]: + [name]Brylee[/name] would be too similar because they would have 3 letters in common (Bry). You could do [name]Brian[/name] + [name]Bryce[/name] or [name]Brian[/name] + [name]Brylee[/name] though. I think that would be fine. [name]Cameron[/name] and [name]Cooper[/name]: Nothing wrong with this sibset! [name]Peyton[/name] (boy) and [name]Parker[/name] (boy): Nothing wrong with this sibset!
[name]Arielle[/name], [name]Juliette[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name]: [name]Arielle[/name] and [name]Danielle[/name] are too similar, but either one could be paired with [name]Juliette[/name]. I think [name]Juliette[/name] + [name]Danielle[/name] work best. [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Christian[/name]: could work as twins, but not as a sibset.
Also, I think the pronunciation of [name]Arielle[/name] and [name]Ariel[/name] are based on preference. With that being said, I prefer [name]Ariel[/name] as [[name]Air[/name]-ee-ul] and [name]Arielle[/name] as [Arr-ee-ell]
garnet- Thanks. You do? Ahh! That makes me smile. [name]Do[/name] you know if she has problems with it getting pronounced wrong? I just don’t want to stick a child with a name that’s gonna make them miserable.
nkethdy- Thank you! I think if anything I’d go with [name]Brice[/name] and [name]Brylee[/name], but if I decide to use any it will probably just be [name]Brylee[/name] as a first name or [name]Bryan[/name] as a middle name. I didn’t think there was anything wrong with [name]Cameron[/name] and [name]Cooper[/name] & [name]Peyton[/name] and [name]Parker[/name], I just wanted to make sure it didn’t sound too ‘matchy’. I agree with [name]Tristan[/name] and [name]Christian[/name] though. As for the pronunciations, that’s what I thought it was too.
