[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! So we think we’ve settled on [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] for our daughter due in two weeks, but I am just thinking ahead and really feel like my second choice would have been [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I’m wondering, in case I should be considering [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] this time instead, do you think [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] are good as sister names if we have another girl? I don’t know about them both ending in the “a” sound. Thanks!
Gorgeous choices. I would say they compliment each other, but no way are they too similar.
I love [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] as sisters! I think they fit really well together, and aren’t too similar to be sisters
They’re wonderful together!
You’ve picked great names for sisters!
They would work perfectly as sisters. So many girl names end in “a” that there would be nothing surprising or strange about it at all. [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is beautiful!
A lot of girls names especially end in -a and usually it’s a bit of a throw away syllable that is rarely stressed and not very prominent. More of a schwa if anything. In short, two or even more -a names together isn’t an issue. The Victori- and [name_m]Louis[/name_m]- parts are not at all similar, they work as sisters.
Thanks, ladies! I’ve done a lot of agonizing over names, so glad to hear that people like [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. It was our “safe” name. But in the end, I feel most confident telling people that’s my daughter’s name, and that means a lot to me.
Perfect sister names.
Definitely not too similar! Perfect!
I don’t think those names are at all similar, my sister and I both have names ending in an “uh” (a) sound but I would never think of them being similar.
They’re beautiful! Not too similar at all
