[name_m]Hi[/name_m], not expecting but I was thinking of names for the future. I have all my boy names pretty much sorted but I have difficulty finding girl names I like and my Fiancé likes. We both like [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f], [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] and [name_u]Andrea[/name_u]
We wouldn’t use [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] and [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] together but would [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] or [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] and [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] work or do they sound too similar?
Also, do you prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]? We like both these names but wouldn’t use them together so I was wondering which one people prefer. I like them the same amount but my Fiancé is in love with the name [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] son is called [name_m]Ernesto[/name_m] if that helps with what goes best and we want to use [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] in the future (we were going to use [name_f]Anjelica[/name_f] but it felt like too many A names on our list and I am named [name_u]Angel[/name_u] so I don’t want it to look like the girls in our family all have A names)
TIA

Thank you for the feedback, we love the other names because we like the nickname [name_f]Andie[/name_f], is there other names with the nickname [name_f]Andie[/name_f] that doesn’t sound too similar to [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f]?
Not a huge fan of [name_u]Holland[/name_u] but I do like [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], never heard of [name_f]Andie[/name_f] being a nickname for it before, do you think it would work?
I like [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], I agree with others about the similarity of [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f]/Andrea. If you want the nickname [name_f]Andie[/name_f], how about [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] or [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]?
I love [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] (more than [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f])!
I think [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] are fine together, though I wouldn’t use [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f].
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I think [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] could work together as the only thing they share is the same initial, but I will say that it gets a little tongue-twisty as they’re all fairly long names. [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] are definitely too similar.
Personally I prefer [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] to [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f], but it’s still a lovely name. I think [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] goes better with [name_m]Ernesto[/name_m] and [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f] too.
Honestly, I think all three are too similar to be used together. I would pick one. Especially since they are a bit mismatched. [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] is so Italian, and [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] is technically Italian, but as a male name, and [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] is so [name_u]French[/name_u]. They just don’t vibe well together, imho.
So, yes, I think they’d be too similar and too different at the same time. Especially with [name_m]Ernesto[/name_m]’s name (and potentially [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f]’s) which would kind of feel like the odd one out of a set like that.
Probably mismatched because we try to pick names based on our ethnics, I am Greek and [name_u]French[/name_u], my fiancé is Italian. The difficulty is, I chose [name_m]Ernesto[/name_m]’s name when I was a single/teen mum seven years ago but now, I will need another persons (my fiancés) opinions and input on names and my naming style has also changed.
Thank you for your point of view as it is helpful.
Thank you. I am mostly leaning towards [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] because it is a name my fiancé has always loved and I don’t have any problems with it. I prefer longer, girly names but my fiancé prefers shorter, as he says “sporty” names, for example, I like [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] and he likes [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] so it can be hard to find a balance. He does prefer [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] to [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] though so maybe that could be a compromise if [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessia[/name_f] sound less like a tongue twist.
I think [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] is both close to [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f]. But I think [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] work well together [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] is a favorite of mine!
I dont care for [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] so thats the outlier for me!
I prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] over [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] but both are nice. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is really overused where I live is the only thing.
I think the three of them are all too similar to be sisters, sorry, especially if your name is [name_u]Angel[/name_u]. I feel like they’d get twisted up a lot, though. They’re all beautiful names, so I can see why you guys like them all! I prefer [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] to [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].
I don’t think [name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Leandra[/name_f] are too similar, though! I also think your idea of Adrienne and Alessia works together!
I think mixed nationality names can still vibe together. [name_f]My[/name_f] kids have one [name_u]French[/name_u], one Greek and one [name_m]German[/name_m] name. For baby four the male name is [name_u]French[/name_u] and the female name is Greek. DH is [name_m]German[/name_m] and I am British so we have to find names which both families can pronounce and [name_u]French[/name_u] and Greek names often work well for that
