Are these too similar?

Thinking of the name [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] for a boy but is it too similar tonour first boy [name_u]Arley[/name_u]?

I think the first sounds are different enough that they work

To me they are. Half their name is the same, sure not the half where the emphasis isā€¦ But still to matchy for my taste. Good luck.

Iā€™m afraid theyā€™re a bit samey for me. The -ley ending is quite a noticeable feature and it feels a bit deliberate.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Hayden[/name_u], [name_m]Holden[/name_m] or [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]?

I agree with previous posters, too similar for me. I love the suggestion of [name_m]Holden[/name_m]. Otherwise something like [name_m]Callum[/name_m] or [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] has the same sort of feel to me, and go really well with [name_u]Arley[/name_u].

Yeh the ā€œleyā€ ending for both is the reason ive taken it on and off my list a few times. But i keep coming back to it cause im really strugglingto find other names i like.

Thank you for replying  The other name suggestions arenā€™t really my style though.

Thinking its coming off the list now. Back to the drawing boardā€¦ [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is a cool name not one that i think I would use. [name_m]Holden[/name_m] I couldnā€™t use due to the car association (very bogan where Iā€™m from) [name_m]Callum[/name_m] is nice but a bit to common for my liking.

Thankyou so much for your reply

That was my worry, thanks for the input

[name_u]Arley[/name_u] is cute! [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] is definitely similar and personally I would probably get tongue tied. However, theyā€™re different enough I wouldnā€™t judge using them both.

Some ideas:
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]
[name_u]Clancy[/name_u]
[name_u]Duffy[/name_u]
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Guthrie[/name_u]
[name_u]Jem[/name_u]
[name_u]Jory[/name_u]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_m]Quimby[/name_m]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_u]Sasha[/name_u]
[name_u]Seeley[/name_u]
[name_u]Teagan[/name_u]
[name_u]Tierney[/name_u]
[name_m]Wiley[/name_m]

For me they would be too matching as first names. I generally avoid matching beginning or end sounds in the first name spot (matchy nicknames donā€™t bother too much though since itā€™s more casual). If the matching -ley endings donā€™t bother you then donā€™t let me stop you though! Some people like their childrenā€™s names to be matchy.
