So I love the names [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] and [name_f]Nova[/name_f] but lately when I say them out loud they sound too similar [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] I love but [name_f]Nova[/name_f] I’ve been thinking of changing but don’t know what to choose I really want something unique and different that goes with [name_m]Naveen[/name_m].
Other thoughts:
[name_f]Nyla[/name_f] [also worried about this one]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Eris[/name_f]
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] and [name_f]Nera[/name_f]?
I think they’re too similar. For identical twins, I wouldn’t even use names starting with the same letter or sound.
yes, too similar. I am an aunt to grown twin boys who were desperate for indivuality - I discourage similar names for twins altogether, and these names seem very close. Maybe other people know of twins who loved be the same in an many ways as possible, but that was not the experience of my nephews so that shapes my view on this matter…good luck!
I think they’re way too similar. I also think [name_f]Nyra[/name_f] is too similar also.
First off, [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] is a great name–I like it a lot. I also like [name_m]Navin[/name_m].
Personally, for twins, I like to see names that are not only not too similar, but also beginning with different initials - the kids share so much, so why not give them something that is completely their own, you know? Interestingly with these two, the similarities in the sound and look of the names together (repeated N & v) seem to bother me less than the vast difference (to my eye/ear) in style of both names.
Of the options you’ve got, [name_f]Nyla[/name_f] I like the sound of but not the look: Naila (ny-la) would be a lot nicer and has a similar feel to [name_m]Naveen[/name_m]. Better yet, [name_f]Nala[/name_f] (nah-la) or [name_u]Nila[/name_u] (nee-la). That said, these still have that issue (for me) of beginning with that same initial. [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_f]Eris[/name_f] and [name_f]Nova[/name_f], I feel, do not fit very well with [name_m]Naveen[/name_m].
I feel like in order to fit better with [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] stylistically, a name with [name_f]Indian[/name_f] (Hindi) or Arabic origins/usage would be best.
I would use a different first initial.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] seems of a very different style than [name_m]Naveen[/name_m]. [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] and [name_f]Eris[/name_f] work well together.
I also like [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] and
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Zenya[/name_f]
[name_f]Anju[/name_f]
[name_f]Priya[/name_f]
Vani
Speaking as a twin, these are definitely too similar, sorry.
[name_m]Naveen[/name_m] and [name_f]Eris[/name_f] are wonderful together. I also like [name_m]Naveen[/name_m] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. Good luck!
