I think I’m in the minority here, but to me it just looks like you couldn’t make up your mind… which seems to be the truth. [name]Don[/name]'t use up all your boy names. What if you have another boy?
Ha, ha. Good point. I should clarify that I got this idea through my family tree research. Many of my norwegian ancestors had a long string of names. Also, we are older parents and this is likely it for us, so maybe we SHOULD use up all our names!
I have two middles. As a kid, it made me feel special that my parents wanted to load me down with so much meaning. Ha.
[name]Hi[/name]! I love two middles! I love how longer combos sound, and I also love how the use of two middles enables the use of more great names.
I know there were some threads on this in the past, and I’ll try to find them for you. From what I remember, the majority of people who commented had a positive view of double middles.
Good luck!
[name]Love[/name] two middle names! I gave my son two and will do the same for any future children, I really love it. My family thinks it’s silly, but I don’t care.
I think it’s perfectly fine!
I always wanted to use two middles for my children when I was younger, but when it comes to actually naming a child, I couldn’t make it work. It just ended up sounding fussy.
However I think it works particularly well when one of the middles is shorter.
One thing to keep in mind too is the fact that on many official forms, one of the two middle names will be dropped. My brother in law has two middle names and I believe even his diploma only listed the first.
Good luck deciding!
All three of my girls have two middle names, and it’s never been an issue. In fact, I think it makes their names sound prettier! I’ve gotten a lot of compliments when I say “well her full name is [name]Clare[/name] [name]Emily[/name] [name]Anne[/name] [name]Holden[/name]” - it’s something different.
So I vote totally okay!
Definitely! I have two middle names and I love it.
And it’s nice because I don’t really like one of them, but love the other, so I’m not stuck with one middle name that I don’t like.
[name]Trust[/name] me. It makes the person feel special having two of them.
hella YES!
two middle names are great, especially if you come up with the right combination.
i have 2 middle names myself, which i love. when i was younger i enjoyed being the only one of my friends who had 2 middle names, where everyone else just had 1. My full name is [name]Louisa[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] Brydon, a name which i adore, so if you get it right, your child will too!
YES absolutely, as long as you can make it work
which judging from the example you gave you CLEARLY can - while I am not personally a fan of [name]Kelly[/name], the flow of 2-syllable name [name]Anders[/name] [name]Tor[/name] [name]Johnson[/name] is amazingly awesome!
Absolutely okay. My son and daughter both have 2 middle names. The first names were just names that we liked and then each kid has two middle names after their great grandparents on both sides of the family.
[name]Hi[/name], Norsedad! Two middles in a name sound regal to me.
I love 2 middle names!!! My son is [name]Caiden[/name] [name]Myles[/name] [name]Leon[/name] and my daughter to be born in [name]August[/name] will be [name]Kinsley[/name] Mischaela [name]Noel[/name]!!!
I am not a fan of two middles just because that makes the child’s name even longer, so I voted no, however I think it is fine, it just seems like a lot of names for one kid.
I love double middle names, particularly for boys.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with two middle names. I haven’t decided if I’ll be using two or not, I’m not sure. But there’s nothing wrong with it and its perfectly acceptable!
Personally, I hate it. But that’s just me. Is there anything wrong with it, or do I care if someone else does it? Not really. My friend’s son has two middles and while it’s NMS, it’s their kid, not mine. Plus both names are honoring, so that makes it more ok for me if that makes sense.
I think two middle names is perfectly fine! I was suppose to have two middle names but my mum dropped the second one as none of my siblings had two middle names and she wanted it to flow. If you can make it work, do it!
I don’t care for two middle names myself, but that doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with it! If you like it, do it. :>
