Are we being ridiculous? Hermione

We are ttc next year and I have my heart set on this girl name in partricular. We have a [name_m]Callan[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], so are hoping for a girl this time.

My heart is set on [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], since we agreed on only two if we have a girl. Is the name too out there? I’ve loved this name for years and loved [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] from Twelfth [name_m]Night[/name_m], before [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]. We are still thinking of a nickname although [name_f]Mina[/name_f], Mione, and [name_f]Mia[/name_f] are possibilities.

Noooo, do it! [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is gorgeous!

I really love [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] and I don’t find it too “out there” at all. I’ve met several and heard of several more (I’m in the UK, where it’s a little more popular). It’s elegant and feminine but really strong and feisty too, and all the namesakes are good ones.

I personally love [name_f]Mina[/name_f] or [name_u]Hero[/name_u] for nicknames. You might also like [name_f]Honey[/name_f]?

Go for it!

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is gorgeous really pretty name : )

Go for it! That combo is gorgeous, and I love the nickname [name_f]Mina[/name_f]!

[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] in itself is perfectly usable and lovely, although I have to admit I find [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] a little bit overkill and borderlin-twee as a middle.

If there wasn’t both a [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] and a [name_f]Luna[/name_f] in [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] it would be lovely. People will pick up on the association and could be judgmental. I would suggest using another middle name.

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name. [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is perfectly usable and was around well before [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] as you say.

I would personally use a different middle but [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is perfectly fine. [name_f]Hermina[/name_f] would also be a good choice

I really like the name [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] and don’t find it particularly out there (although it’s definitely an uncommon name I think it’s less unusual here in Australia than in the US) so I say go for it. I would personally go for a different middle though considering [name_f]Luna[/name_f] is another prominent [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] character. Something like [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] would be really nice or if you want to keep [name_f]Rose[/name_f], perhaps [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?

I think it’s perfectly useable but as a whole seems very [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] since [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are both characters in the books ([name_f]Rose[/name_f] being [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]'s daughter) but since not many people will know the full name it’s probably fine

I think it’s a bit much as a whole name, especially since all three are [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] names. But [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] itself is fine. I would love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] next to [name_m]Callan[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m].

I think it’s really pretty! And I can tell how much you love it so I think you should definitely go for it.
