What’s your opinion on the name [name]Aria[/name]?
I think it’s pretty, I know many Berries prefer [name]Arianna[/name]; but I like both. I think it’s simple but I like the exotic aspect to it.
I quite like it, and think while it does have quite a whimsical, light feel to it, it’s also very strong and grounded. The simlicity of [name]Aria[/name] is very nice.
Note: While I adore [name]Ari[/name] for a boy, I’d definitely prefer to see [name]Aria[/name] on a girl.
As a musician, [name]Aria[/name] has a lot of appeal to me. It’s beautiful and flowing, and strong enough to be a name all on its own! I would love to meet a little [name]Aria[/name].
Really?! I don’t remember seeing any [name]Berry[/name] who preferred [name]Arianna[/name]/[name]Ariana[/name]/[name]Arianne[/name] to [name]Aria[/name]! It seems like of the [name]Aria[/name]- names, Berries generally prefer just [name]Aria[/name]… it does lack substance to me, and I vastly prefer [name]Ariana[/name] or [name]Arianne[/name] (which is obviously why [name]Arianne[/name] is my second favorite girls’ name, and not [name]Aria[/name], haha). I was about 99% sure I was alone in that opinion on here, though!
I definitely think it has substance. I love sound as well as the meaning. Personally, I prefer [name]Aria[/name] over [name]Arianna[/name]/[name]Ariana[/name]/Arriane, etc. It just feels a lot more contemporary and fresh. I’ve never met an [name]Aria[/name] but I have met a bunch of Ariannas.
I think it is pretty but a little light. I prefer [name]Ariadne[/name] with the nn [name]Aria[/name]/[name]Ari[/name].
Full disclosure, I knew an [name]Aria[/name] in high school who was a bit trashy and not a pleasant person, so I have a bad association with the name. That said, I can see the appeal. It has a nice sound and meaning, but I generally prefer names with hard consonants, which are so few and far between on today’s popularity lists. So [name]Aria[/name] does feel a bit wispy to me in that regard.
[name]Love[/name] love love [name]Aria[/name]. I wish it wasn’t so popular.
I think [name]Aria[/name] is gorgeous and full of substance. It’s a very complicated and beautiful musical performance, of COURSE it has substance.
I like [name]Aria[/name] but I think I like [name]Adria[/name] better…
I like [name]Aria[/name], and I much prefer it to [name]Arianna[/name]. [name]Aria[/name] is really sweet and princessy. I don’t like it enough to put it on my list, but I do think its beautiful.
I love it!
I adore the name. Its actually one of my top 3 favourite girls names. I like it because it is sweet, sassy and feminine, but I also like that it isn’t a heavy name. It has such a musical feel to it. I also like that it isn’t overly popular but it also isn’t obscure and too unique.
I really don’t like [name]Arianna[/name], maybe because she’s a villain in a [name]Barbie[/name] movie my sister watches too much and has earworm songs… [name]Arianna[/name] just sounds like a mean-girl name.
But [name]Aria[/name]! I love [name]Aria[/name]. [name]One[/name] of my favorite middle combos is [name]Aria[/name] [name]Lyric[/name].
I used to love [name]Aria[/name], I still like it, but not as much since Pretty [name]Little[/name] Liars…
I love [name]Aria[/name]! Beauiful and I love just [name]Aria[/name] on it’s own.
For me, [name]Aria[/name] is super trendy, a bit flimsy and best left to the opera world. I guess I’m in the minority here.
I’m a little biased, but being an [name]Aria[/name] I couldn’t miss an opportunity to contribute.
To me, it does have substance. I love that it’s short but has a longer pronunciation. Nice to look at and to say. I constantly have been told by people I meet, job interviewers, co-workers, “Wow, that a beautiful/great name.”
Now, I will say that you will get people to pronounce it wrong, A LOT. Area, Uh-ree-uh, Uh-rye-uh, [name]Ariel[/name], "are-ree-el, etc. I honestly don’t mind it. Not everyone is a [name]Jenna[/name] [name]Smith[/name] and can have both names easy to pronounce. If that is something that would prefer not to have your child deal with, I’d reconsider but I guarantee you it will happen. Once I correct them though, I more often then not don’t have another problem with pronunciation (unless I rarely ever see them).
The name has great meanings. It has a musical meaning: an melody/song meant for expressing one voice’s emotions; often used in operas. It is Italian for “air” and Hebrew for “lion(ess) / lioness of God.” And just to put it out there, I don’t think you have to be musically inclined (which my family happens to be) to use this name. In my experience, very few people actually know what an aria is and like the name all the same. Those who do obviously have musical background and love the name even more.
As to trendiness and popularity. It is getting quite popular. [name]Do[/name] I think it will ever become Top 10? Mmm, I’m gonna guess no. Not easy enough to pronounce. I can say, that I have never met another [name]Aria[/name]. Heard about them? Sure. Met them, nope. [name]Do[/name] I think it’s trendy? Yes and no. Yes, because of the show Pretty [name]Little[/name] Liars. But I can almost guarantee that 20 years from now, no one is going to think you named your daughter after that character. The show doesn’t have a large enough following, enough news coverage, or any type of decent acting to be rememberable in my opinion. No, because it’s such a classic name (not in the classic sense of [name]Catherine[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Anne[/name]), but it has such a classy meaning, is very simple, and has just the right amount of flair. I don’t see this name being outdated quickly or being a name that when heard 40 years from now makes a person think, “well this child was born in the 2010’s.”
I love being named [name]Aria[/name]. I love what it stands for, and feel it’s a strong, solid, yet beautiful name. I think it ages well and that you would make NO mistake in choosing this name for your daughter. Best of luck!
[name]How[/name] would you pronounce [name]Aria[/name]???
