Hello, the name [name_f]Aria[/name_f] has been on my mind lately, especially the combo suggested by a berry, [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u]. But my draw backs are:
The popularity, not bc she might be the fifth one in her class, but it might be outdated once I have a child.
The association of PLL, a show to this day that I loathe, I especially disliked [name_f]Aria[/name_f] and [name_u]Ezra[/name_u]'s relationship.
What are your thoughts? I also toyed with [name_f]Aria[/name_f] being a nn for [name_f]Arianna[/name_f], which imo is more classic.
I adore the name [name_f]Aria[/name_f], and personally associate it with music rather than a fandom. [name_f]Arianna[/name_f] is a good long form for it if you do want it to be a nickname, and it’s a beautiful name as well. But I personally think the “[name_u]Arya[/name_u]” spelling is more fandom, “[name_f]Aria[/name_f]” is more music. I will say that [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] as a combo is very Game of Thrones to me, personally, but I don’t think that’s a total dealbreaker and the flow is very nice indeed.
I think [name_f]Aria[/name_f] is really beautiful, but [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] definitely reminded me of Game of Thrones straight away ([name_u]Snow[/name_u] is a common surname in the book/show, and [name_u]Arya[/name_u] is one of the bigger characters). But, if you can get beyond that association, I think it sounds really lovely.
Gorgeous name! The popularity / potential of it being dated in the near-ish future is unfortunate While PLL is a show from my generation, I never watched it, so I always forget about the character. Same with GoT. Although, the combo [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] screamed GoT to me immediately.
Aria is lovely but I could see potential for the name to date because it suddenly grew in popularity rather than always been popular/always been outside the top 100. However as a [name_u]Berry[/name_u] pointed out recently a lot of names have the potential to date so I wouldn’t worry to much about that if you love [name_f]Aria[/name_f] a lot. [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] is pretty but for me it has strong GOT vibes which appears to be something your not keen on I think [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] could be an idea. [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] is a lovely longer form that doesn’t have any GOT/PLL associations and works well with [name_u]Snow[/name_u]. Also I think [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] has less potential to date.
I watched PLL religiously (probably the only drama show I’ve done that with lol, the ending was not worth it) when I was younger so the name is very attached to the character for me. I love the name but actually like the [name_u]Arya[/name_u] spelling more, although [name_u]Arya[/name_u] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] would feel even more GOT than [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. Out loud, I’d also think of GOT, even though I’ve never seen it, but I probably wouldn’t think of it written out.
