I absolutely adore the names [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] and [name_f]Noa[/name_f], but they just don’t work well as a combination. [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] and [name_f]Noa[/name_f] for sisters would be an interesting style mix but more usable. I think the flow is off due to the double ‘a’ endings. [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f] is really lovely.
I think at first glance (say?), [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f] sounds better than [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Noa[/name_f] because of the repetitive endings on the latter. However, I’d actually argue that to my ears [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Noa[/name_f] sounds better and here’s why: [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f] sounds like the names are running into each other as the -na No- smudge together and the name sounds like “[name_f]Arianne[/name_f] Nanomi”. However, I don’t get this issue with [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Noa[/name_f] because the repetitive endings take some of the stress off of the n’s and they don’t smudge together like [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this makes sense/helps somewhat!
I’d vote for [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f].
Would you consider [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]? I think that might flow even better.
Thanks for the input! Yea I do like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] too but I thought it would be too many syllables.
Although [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] and [name_f]Noa[/name_f] both have the -a ending I usually try to avoid when naming characters, I think they go unusually well together. I much prefer ‘[name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Noa[/name_f]’ to ‘[name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f]’, although maybe that’s just because the former is more to my style. I think that, because [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] is also sometimes heard in its [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] form, [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f] might be at risk of having [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]'s -na ending stripped off and added to the front of [name_f]Nomi[/name_f], to make [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] Nanomi, which sounds nice but is not the name you’ve chosen.
But people who are told [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]'s middle name likely already know her first, as it’s unusual for someone to say, ‘Here’s my daughter, [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Nomi[/name_f]/[name_f]Noa[/name_f]’ as a first introduction, so I’d say choose whichever one you prefer, as both sound beautiful.
As someone whose first and middle names total seven syllables, I personally don’t think [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is too long, and I think it possibly flows even better. It is, of course, up to you.
But my favourite is definitely [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Noa[/name_f]. (Sorry for the very long-winded response!)
Thought I already posted on here. Oh well - I voted [name_f]Nomi[/name_f] but really like [name_f]Noa[/name_f] too - I actually quite like the double ‘a’ ending. I agree you should pick whichever one you love most
I voted for [name_f]Nomi[/name_f] (very pretty!) but I really like the matching endings with [name_f]Noa[/name_f].
