Looking for some help – our baby girl has arrived. It was a massive surprise as she was going to be a he !
Under pressure to choose a name.
What do you think of [name_f]Ariane[/name_f] ? How would you pronounce ? Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much !

I would pronounce [name_f]Ariane[/name_f] as [name_f]Air[/name_f]-ee-[name_f]Ann[/name_f]. It’s a pretty name !

Congratulations! [name_f]Ariane[/name_f] is lovely although I also prefer the spelling of [name_f]Arianne[/name_f]. I would intuitively pronounce it air-ee-ann but if she was introduced as are-ee-ann that is how I would say it. What pronunciation are you are going for?

I absolutely love the name [name_f]Ariane[/name_f]. I think it’s so pretty and chic. I prefer it to [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], it feels calmer and more mature to me.

I would pronounce it ah-ree-AN. I’m British, if that makes a difference.

I like [name_f]Ariane[/name_f]! I would assume it was pronounced ahr-ee-ahn but air-ee-anne wouldn’t surprise me, either!

Congratulations!

Ariane is a nice name, familiar yet not popular if that makes sense. I’d pronounce it arry-anne - I’m British, in case that makes any difference.
