Arianne Eleanor Kate?

In my quest to honor family more in my short lists, I’ve been looking at using [name]Kate[/name] as a MN more on my list–it would honor my mom, my great aunt, and my great grandmother (all of which were amazing and have some form of [name]Catherine[/name] as their names).

[name]Arianne[/name] is my second favorite girls’ name (I say it [name]AIR[/name]-ee-anne), and [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] has been my combo in the past ([name]Noelle[/name] honors my baby sister). Lately, I’ve been falling for [name]Ariana[/name]/[name]Arianne[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Kate[/name], though. I prefer the look of [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Kate[/name], but I can’t imagine using [name]Ariana[/name] over [name]Arianne[/name].

I’m looking for opinions on [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Kate[/name] as a combo (LN starts with an “R” and is fairly long). [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Arianne[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] better? Which do you think goes best with [name]Isabelle[/name] [name]Ayelet[/name] [name]Grace[/name] R_____ (my top girls’ pick, at the moment)?

Thanks!
[name]Ash[/name]

I prefer the [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Kate[/name] combo, although I like all of your suggestions. I think [name]Arianna[/name] flows a lot better but then [name]Arianne[/name] doesn’t sound awful.

While I personally love [name]Arianne[/name] and pronounce it the same way you do, when I tried to talk my husband into letting us use it for our impending arrival, he unhelpfully mentioned that it sounds a lot like [name]Aryan[/name] (as in the aryan race) That pretty much ruined it for me and while I have no intention of ruining the name for you, if you hadn”t made that connection, I wanted to point out that some people might. [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Noelle[/name], or [name]Ariana[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] are both beautiful and have none of the negative name association. I wish you the best and good luck!

I always liked the name [name]Arianne[/name], pronounced as you do. I too had thought of the [name]Aryan[/name] race connection, but it’s a known name and, so, I don’t think everyone will make this connection. At the same time, it made me wonder if an [name]Arianne[/name] should be blonde or brown haired? I felt like she should have blonde hair (don’t know why- maybe the [name]Aryan[/name] thing, which I’m not celebrating, but I don’t know why I felt this way), but I doubt that any child of mine will have blonde hair.

Anyhow, I still like [name]Arianne[/name] much and I like it much better than [name]Isabelle[/name]. I would have said before [name]Isabella[/name]/[name]Isabelle[/name]'s meteoric rise to popularity too.

jenlaughs–thanks! [name]Don[/name]'t worry, you didn’t ruin [name]Arianne[/name] for me. I’ve adored the name for years, and I am a member of another baby name site, and I’ve gotten that both [name]Arianne[/name] AND [name]Ariana[/name] are too close to “[name]Aryan[/name]” for them! Since I would plan on calling her [name]Ari[/name] about 95% of the time, I don’t think it’ll be too much of an issue, and the nn [name]Annie[/name]/[name]Anna[/name] is also readily available. It is something I have taken into consideration, but in the end, my love for the name (and the meaning “very holy one”) has won me over!

lilybug1–I too picture a little blond girl! I have a feeling it is because the ONLY [name]Arianne[/name]/[name]Ari[/name] I know of is one of the most adorable little blond girls I know! She’s seriously cute, haha, and I think that’s where my love for the name came from. I plan to adopt the majority (if not all) of my children, so I really have little control over that! I could end up having a blond [name]Ari[/name], a Latina [name]Ari[/name], or a Chinese [name]Ari[/name]–who knows. If I ended up having a biological child named [name]Arianne[/name], gauging from how my siblings and I turned out, she would probably be blond when she was born, and during most of her childhood. She might turn brunette (my brother and I did), but she might stay blond (my two sisters did). So who knows, lol.
