Today I came across the name Ariellie (ari-[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]) similar to [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] but with an -ie ending. I really like it’s kind of rhyming character and I can really imagine a girl with this name. [name_u]Ari[/name_u] could be a nick name. What are you initial thoughts? Is it usable?
I love it!
[name_f]Arielle[/name_f] along with the other [name_u]Ari[/name_u]- names are pretty high on my list.
Honestly I find the -ie at the end unnecessary. It sort of just sounds like a pet name for [name_f]Arielle[/name_f], as many people will add an -ee sound at the end of a name as a form of endearment.
I think the name is reasonably usable, I wouldn’t think badly of it upon hearing. I just prefer the original, or [name_f]Ariela[/name_f] for some added drama.
Initial thought was that the spelling looked a little messy to me because of the repeated Is, Es, and Ls, but the sound is nice. Maybe Arielly? I would’ve said it air-ee-[name_f]ELL[/name_f]-ee instead of are-ee-[name_f]ELL[/name_f]-ee, since I pronounce [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] and [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] with an “[name_f]Air[/name_f]” sound.
It reminds me of Arietty too, which is sweet. [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is one of my favorite nicknames for a girl.
The sound is nice but the spelling does seem a little strange to me. (Maybe Ariely would simplify it?) However that’s not necessarily a reason to drop the name.
The spelling isn’t terribly attractive [name_f]IMO[/name_f] and I just don’t like the sound…I prefer [name_f]Araceli[/name_f] or [name_u]Ariel[/name_u].
I am seconding the suggestions of Arietty and [name_f]Araceli[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] both of those!
Ariellie is okay, but I prefer simply [name_f]Arielle[/name_f].
I went to high school with a Marielly
I absolutely adore this name!
I prefer [name_f]Arielle[/name_f].
I agree, it sounds like a pet name to [name_f]Arielle[/name_f].
