What do you think of [name_m]Artemas[/name_m] for a boy? It’s the male version of [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] but the only feedback I’ve read is that its too girly…
However I see it wholly as a boys name, maybe partly because I associte it with the [name_m]Artemas[/name_m] Fowl books.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the cute nn [name_m]Art[/name_m] or [name_m]Artie[/name_m] for a little boy
I love [name_m]Artemas[/name_m] or [name_m]Artemus[/name_m] (the spelling I have on my list) for a boy! I’ve read, and really liked most of the [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] Fowl books, but because [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] is a goddess name in Greek mythology, and I love anything mythology related (and want to be respectful to the culture and mythology) I see that spelling as firmly girl. But [name_m]Artemas[/name_m]/[name_m]Artemus[/name_m] is one of my favourite boys’ names, and such a great, near identical alternative to [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], for a boy. Plus it still reminds me of and I was inspired by [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] Fowl, so it’s kind of a literary name, which is brilliant. If I were to use a nn I would stretch to [name_m]Archie[/name_m], but [name_m]Art[/name_m] is pretty cute too :).
I knew a little boy with this middle name and thought it was incredibly handsome. I love it.
I’ve always viewed it as more of a male name. I really love the [name_m]Artemus[/name_m] spelling but [name_m]Artemas[/name_m] is lovely too! I think it’s a wonderful and strong name for a boy with lots of nickname potential
I don’t think it’s too girly at all. I really like both [name_m]Artemus[/name_m] and [name_m]Artemas[/name_m]. [name_m]Art[/name_m] and [name_m]Artie[/name_m] are wonderful nicknames.
Thanks for your replies! [name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering is amy one else has any views…?
