[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] has been a favourite for quite some time, but lately I’ve been loving [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] (nn possibly [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]). What do you think? With Phoebe and Zoe.
I like the [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] feels a little less trendy.
I like both, but [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is definitely my favourite. I also live in the U.K. and as it is very popular and unlikely to lose interest anytime soon, I personally wouldn’t use it (it’s on the guilty pleasure list), but I think [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] goes perfectly with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] is great (no pun intended) but [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is so handsome and versatile, my vote goes to him.
I think I prefer [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]. It fits a bit better with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. I love the nn [name_u]Alfie[/name_u], but don’t really love the full name [name_m]Alfred[/name_m].
[name_u]Brit[/name_u] here too. I like both, but [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is just such a warm, cuddly-sounding name to me. I really like it, despite its (modest) popularity, and it goes really nicely with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f].
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] is a good, strong, solid name but I find [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] a bit too cutesy and also overused at the moment. I quite like [name_m]Alf[/name_m] though!
I really like both names, though [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] makes me think of an old man, I would just call him [name_m]Al[/name_m] or [name_u]Red[/name_u]
I am gonna be the exception here, I actually prefer [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] with his sisters’ names
Oh this is tricky. I like both a lot. I’d say [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] just because there are SO many little Alfies and he would inevitably become one. Personally I prefer [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] though, it’s lovely.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] win it in this case though!
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] sounds handsome and noble; [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] almost does, but not (to me) quite.
I do like [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_m]Fred[/name_m] and [name_u]Freddie[/name_u], but I keep seeing [name_m]Alfred[/name_m], [name_m]Lord[/name_m] [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m]'s big head from the Authors card game (and his horrible anti-woman sentiments).
I love them both.
I think [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] goes slightly better with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] (to me, names with Latin origins fit a little better with Greek names than Germanic ones do).
[name_m]Artie[/name_m] and [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] are equally cute.
I prefer [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] to [name_m]Alfred[/name_m], but [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] is really cute! you’d have two ‘fee’ sounds with [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]… not sure if that’s a pro or a con tho.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] is great too, but [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is more handsome and goes better with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] in my opinion.
