[name_f]My[/name_f] partner and I have been putting off seriously brainstorming name ideas forever, and we’re a bit stuck. She’s a musician and I’m an artist, so we both wanted to find names that tie in with what we love.
So far, we have [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (EL&P anyone?), [name_m]Immanuel[/name_m], [name_m]Soren[/name_m], Wilde/Wilder, [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], and [name_m]Kasimir[/name_m], after my favorite song, [name_u]Kashmir[/name_u]
I’m a big fan of [name_u]George[/name_u] [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], but she’s not too keen on either [name_u]George[/name_u] or [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] as a first name. One of them as a middle name isn’t off the table.
I also wanted someone else’s opinion on the name [name_m]Kurtis[/name_m], a mix of [name_m]Ian[/name_m] [name_u]Curtis[/name_u] and [name_m]Kurt[/name_m] Cobain’s names. I really like it, but feel some apprehension towards naming our son that because of their deaths.
I’ll admit I’m not knowledgable about all of these people, so my apologies if any of them are not the type of person to name a child after! But here are some artsy/musical names I think sound nice!
[name_m]Morrison[/name_m], [name_m]Raphael[/name_m], and [name_u]Claude[/name_u] have been given thumbs up. I liked [name_u]Bowie[/name_u] but it’s been vetoed…

Kurtis & Emerson are also beautiful! again love that they are not so obvious references bc it can be hard to carry a name like Hendrix, Bowie, Jagger or Lennon (even tho i love all of those). Zeppelin could be a beautiful mn imo tho
and i love the idea of George or Harrison as a mn! i love him and they are also not soo obvious references

Thank you so much for your suggestions, love the Zep profile picture you got there. [name_u]Floyd[/name_u] and [name_m]Jethro[/name_m] are definite adds to our list. As for the music we listen to - it’s all over the place. Some classic rock here, some instrumental pieces there, mainly experimental and progressive rock kind of stuff. Which is why we’re sticking with more mainstream artists in terms of names; wouldn’t want our son to be named Aphex Earthmover Sunn O))) ! (Hello Elon?)

oh and i get that! what about zeplin nn zep? i found that name the other day, and i think it’s a lovely alternative to zeppelin, plus the nn zep is so cute
also i’ve thought of ocean as a reference to zeppelin’s song, which is a fav of mine but it may be more related to the word
