Asa and Ira

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all! Not pregnant or even married, just name obsessed and curious haha. What do you think of [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_u]Ira[/name_u]? I have always loved the names, because they’re sweet and short and too the point, and to me, have always been masculine names. But I’ve come across the obvious fact that they have feminine sounds (particularly [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]). [name_m]Just[/name_m] out of curiosity, what do you guys think of this names? Yay or neigh for boys?

Thanks!

I like them, I think softer, “feminine” boys names are very cute and mature well. I also like Asra.

I think they’re great and absolutely wearable, one shouldn’t have to cross off names because they might appear too feminine!
They’d make awesome brothers, too.

I really like both, especially [name_u]Asa[/name_u]. For some reason, some people think boys’ names ending in -a or the -a sound are “feminine,” which I don’t agree with at all and is confusing since [name_u]Noah[/name_u] ends in that sound and is wildly popular. So I say “yay” to [name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_u]Ira[/name_u] as boys’ names and “neigh” for girls because they are boy names.

[name_u]Asa[/name_u] and [name_u]Ira[/name_u] are boys’ names where I come from and I like them both.
