Ash or Kalia

I am trying to decide on names for twin sisters! One will be named Trynian, but the other is not certain. We are trying to decide between [name_u]Ash[/name_u] (maybe [name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f] or [name_m]Asher[/name_m]?) and Kalia (pronounced [name_u]KAY[/name_u]-lee-uh). Last name is Aiuyer (pronounced [name_m]AH[/name_m]-yur). Please help! Thanks.

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] is a boys’ name. [name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f] is lovely, though I prefer the traditional [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] spelling. I would choose an alternate spelling for Kalia ([name_f]Kaylia[/name_f] comes to mind), as I originally thought it to be kuh-lee-uh, like Kalua pork. [name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Aisling[/name_f] & [name_f]Kaylia[/name_f] are a nice set, though I strongly dislike Trynian, I’m sorry. It looks very contorted and unnatural to me.

Hmmmm would [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] be a good alternative to Trynian?

Perhaps Ashera? ([name_m]Asher[/name_m]-uh) She’s an ancient goddess of the hearth & home, occasionally even considered as a consort to Yahweh (but usually associated w/Ba’al). Trynian is a bit different…perhaps [name_f]Trista[/name_f] or [name_f]Trinity[/name_f]?

Hmm, I think I prefer Kalia as a name but I’m not sure if it flows well with your last name because of all the different “a” sounds. I love [name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f]. Very pretty.

Kalia is pronounced [name_f]Kayla[/name_f]. Please please look the name up again. I love my name and find it annoying that people are using my [name_m]Hawaii[/name_m] name wrong.
