Asher or Adler?

My husband and I had been thinking about [name_m]Asher[/name_m] for a few weeks now. Then he decides, well maybe not. Now he likes [name_m]Adler[/name_m]. I don’t hate it, but it was our 5 year old that said it’s sounds alot like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], which is my niece. Our boys are [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m]. Both of those names are not common among our area or people we know. Neither are [name_m]Asher[/name_m] or [name_m]Adler[/name_m], so that’s not a concern. I do like that [name_m]Asher[/name_m] sounds a little more familiar and less foreign than [name_m]Adler[/name_m]. Thoughts on either?

Here’s some combos I’ve liked

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] Darr
[name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] Darr

[name_m]Adler[/name_m] (not sure) Darr haha!

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is on my own short list so, obviously, I absolutely love it. [name_m]Adler[/name_m] is very handsome and they both age very well. BUT [name_m]Asher[/name_m] gets my vote for sure. Also, [name_m]Asher[/name_m] Darr flows a little bit better to me.

I prefer [name_m]Asher[/name_m] over [name_m]Adler[/name_m]. [name_m]Adler[/name_m] is a bit strange. [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] has a great flow to it and complements your other boy names perfectly.

Personally, I prefer [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and your [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] combo. [name_m]Asher[/name_m] is strong, and also has a nice, gentle sound which I like in a name. [name_m]Asher[/name_m] also works really well with his brother’s names.

I’m not so keen on [name_m]Adler[/name_m] myself, however, I do think that [name_m]Adler[/name_m] works really well with brothers [name_m]Brooks[/name_m] & [name_u]Everett[/name_u], as the trio has an ‘English surnames’ type style which brings them all together nicely.

My son is [name_m]Adler[/name_m]! We get tons of comments on his name. It is not common at all. I am considering [name_u]Everett[/name_u] for this next baby if a boy
I vote [name_m]Adler[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], if you don’t mind the closeness to [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. [name_m]Asher[/name_m] is good too but becoming more common.

I love [name_m]Asher[/name_m] with [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], and I adore [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] Darr! I may be biased though, I have [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_m]Asher[/name_m] on my long list haha. [name_m]Adler[/name_m] Darr just doesn’t seem to flow very well, it almost sounds like a stutter.

I prefer [name_m]Asher[/name_m] mostly because I personally find [name_m]Adler[/name_m] a little awkward to say. The d and l in the name just don’t flow off my tongue easily. It’s a really handsome name especially on paper but if you enjoy the familiarity and ease of [name_m]Asher[/name_m] then I think [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] Is perfect ”

I prefer [name_m]Asher[/name_m]! Softer, a great meaning and doesn’t sound too much like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]

Alder or [name_u]Alden[/name_u] also came to mind

I’m in the minority, but I really prefer [name_m]Adler[/name_m]!
I know a lot of kids named [name_u]Ash[/name_u]. [name_m]Asher[/name_m] is in the top 50, and [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] in the top 130, so it’s really having a moment nowadays.
What about [name_m]Archer[/name_m] or [name_u]Arden[/name_u]?

I much prefer [name_m]Adler[/name_m], it’s interesting and unique. I find [name_m]Asher[/name_m] quite boring

What is your [name_m]Adler[/name_m]'s middle name?

What is your [name_m]Adler[/name_m]'s middle name?

[name_m]Adler[/name_m] by far. Very cool and underused. [name_m]Asher[/name_m] is a nice name, but it just makes me think of [name_m]Usher[/name_m]…

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] is an established first name. To me [name_m]Adler[/name_m] is a common surname.

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] also sounds better with your last name.

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] gets my vote. [name_m]Adler[/name_m] sounds a bit too close to [name_u]Everett[/name_u] imo (or you may get tongue tied while calling for them lol).

I like the suggestions of [name_u]Alden[/name_u] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u].

I like [name_m]Asher[/name_m] a lot. [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is wonderful and very warm.
