Asking Kids for names

So the other day my little brother asked me what i’d name my future children. I thought it was cute because he doesn’t know I love names. So I told him and then asked him and my other younger siblings what they would name their future kids…

My brother [name_m]Cole[/name_m] (11) said: [name_m]Jason[/name_m], [name_u]Tyson[/name_u], & [name_f]Barbra[/name_f]
My brother [name_u]Brett[/name_u] (10) said: [name_u]Tristyn[/name_u], [name_m]Connor[/name_m], & [name_f]Lena[/name_f]
My sister [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] (6) said: “I’m only having one litte girl, and her name will be [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_m]Stone[/name_m].”

I was shocked that they didn’t reply with names like ‘[name_f]Star[/name_f]’ , ‘[name_f]Rainbow[/name_f]’ , ‘[name_f]Barbie[/name_f]’ and ‘[name_m]Ken[/name_m]’ because when I was their age that is what all my friends knew for names. haha.

So if you have had this conversation recently with your kids, young siblings or any children under the age of 12. What did they say?

I don’t have any names from other kids. But, just an observation I found quiet funny. Did you notice he said [name_u]Tyson[/name_u] and you have [name_u]Tyson[/name_u] down on your list? Seems like your brother has the same taste as you :slight_smile:

My six year old sister and I talk baby names all the time, last time I asked she liked [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] and Heartley for girls and [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] for boys.

My 5yr old niece likes the names [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_m]Archie[/name_m] ahha.

Something tells me [name_f]Barbara[/name_f] is going to make a comeback in the next 10-15 years. :wink:

My 8 y.o. cousin said [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_u]Alex[/name_u] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m]. My 5 y.o. cousin said [name_m]Tom[/name_m].

My sister (9) likes [name_f]Hope[/name_f] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]
My younger brother (5) likes [name_m]Christian[/name_m] (mostly because he loves my friend [name_m]Christian[/name_m]).

My sister [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], who is 13, likes sweet, classic names: [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], [name_u]Francis[/name_u] “[name_m]Frank[/name_m]”/[name_f]Liza[/name_f], [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. She also likes [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f]!
My sister [name_f]Michelina[/name_f], who is 10, tends to like names that are popular among her generation, like [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_m]Anthony[/name_m], [name_u]Christian[/name_u]/ [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]. She also likes a couple surprises, [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] and [name_f]Joanna[/name_f], and [name_f]Patricia[/name_f] (which runs in our family).
