Aster, how do you feel about her?

I have liked this name for a long time but I had no idea it was infact my birth flower. I’d probably on ever use is a middle, but if I did use as a first name her nickname would be [name]Star[/name]. Opinions? I would never steer anywhere toward Astie/Assie either! [name]How[/name] do you se an a little girl named [name]Aster[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you prefer [name]Esther[/name]?

[name]Aster[/name]'s okay but I prefer both [name]Astra[/name] and [name]Esther[/name]. I like how [name]Aster[/name] looks written down but there’s just something not feminine about the way it sounds.

I think it’s beautiful. I slightly prefer [name]Esther[/name] because of the option of [name]Tess[/name], but the uniqueness of [name]Aster[/name] is very attractive.
I know a woman named [name]Starla[/name] and think it’s gorgeous on her.
You could also use [name]Tera[/name] as a nn and even [name]Ace[/name].

I prefer it spelt [name]Esther[/name],

As a mn I think it is okay, and I like the synergy as your birth flower, but I agree that it doesn’t sound feminine when said aloud and would not use it for a first name. It lends itself to teasing with the coarse “ass” prefix. [name]Astra[/name] is nms but I like [name]Esther[/name].

Okay, but [name]Aster[/name] is not a derivative of [name]Esther[/name]. Its a flower. [name]Esther[/name] is Persian and [name]Aster[/name] is Greek.

In the middle spot, [name]Aster[/name] is lovely. As a first, I prefer [name]Esther[/name] because [name]Aster[/name] is a bit too close to ‘Astor’.

My first thought was that it sounds like [name]Esther[/name] with an accent. I like the way it looks, but would be afraid of it always being confused with [name]Esther[/name]. [name]Astara[/name] appeals to me significantly more (and is actually on my long list).

I thought it was a boys name, but I think that’s because I know and [name]Aston[/name] who gets [name]Asti[/name].

As a middle it’s fine. I prefer [name]Astra[/name] or Isstra.

I love [name]Aster[/name]. It probably tops my list of unusual favorites. The nickname star is just adorable!

It looks nice written down, but I kind of hate the sound. Can’t seem to get over the “ass” part, and the fact that it’s followed by the harsh sound “ter” somehow makes it worse. That said, the meaning is great. I think it’s usable as a mn.
