at hospital!! need boy name opinions ASAP!

[name]HI[/name] Everyone,

[name]Just[/name] joined the forums after lurking for a long while. My husband and I have had top names for quite some time but we can’t decide on one and with all the nerves of going into labor, I could use some feedback. I know, a little late to the party!

We have a 3 year old son named [name]Kellen[/name] [name]Stuart[/name] and our last name begins with an S and sounds like Soft but with no T at the end. Here are our contenders.

BTW - [name]Crain[/name] is my dad’s middle name and my grandmother’s maiden name.

[name]Soren[/name] [name]Crain[/name] (too much S with our last name?)
[name]Waylon[/name] [name]Crain[/name] (too country? we’re not really country people but we like the name.)
[name]Ronan[/name] [name]Crain[/name]
[name]Rowen[/name] [name]Crain[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name] [name]Crain[/name]
[name]Silas[/name] [name]Crain[/name] (I love [name]Silas[/name] but my husband is worried it’s just too much S with our last name)

Thoughts? Please?!

First off, love your son’s name [name]Kellen[/name] [name]Stuart[/name] rocks, you have awesome naming style.

From your other picks I really love [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Crain[/name], it fits well with [name]Kellen[/name], is handsome and while masculine has a softer sound and love that you are using [name]Crain[/name] to honor family.

[name]Ronan[/name] [name]Crain[/name]! [name]Ronan[/name] is a gorgeous name [name]Kellen[/name] and [name]Ronan[/name] are so cute together. My second choice is [name]Rowen[/name] [name]Crain[/name], which is also great & works with [name]Kellen[/name]. I would stay away from [name]Alexander[/name], it just doesn’t fit as well with [name]Kellen[/name] in my opinion. While I love [name]Silas[/name], I agree about the S thing, it’s a little too much (gorgeous name though!). Same with [name]Soren[/name]. I really like [name]Waylon[/name], but I do agree that it’s a bit country. However, if you don’t mind that, [name]Kellen[/name] and [name]Waylon[/name] make a great set! Congratulations & good luck with your little one

I really like [name]Alexander[/name] and [name]Silas[/name]. They to me, sound the best [name]Kellen[/name].

[name]Soren[/name] [name]Crain[/name] (too much S with our last name?) [name]Soren[/name] Sof not too much S, but the S plus o is kind of repetitive.
[name]Waylon[/name] [name]Crain[/name] (too country? we’re not really country people but we like the name.) it’s a little bit country… I’d think you liked country music or lived in the country if you used it.
[name]Ronan[/name] [name]Crain[/name]- love it! So nice. Fits with brother.
[name]Rowen[/name] [name]Crain[/name]- not sure if this or [name]Rowan[/name] is the more appropriate spelling (I’m more familiar with the -an spelling) but i really like it as well.
[name]Alexander[/name] [name]Crain[/name]- another timeless choice, really nice and handsome.
[name]Silas[/name] [name]Crain[/name] (I love [name]Silas[/name] but my husband is worried it’s just too much S with our last name) not too much S because the vowels used with it are different from your last name. I really like this one too.
[name]Ronan[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Alexander[/name] are my picks in order. Good luck!

Hmmm, editing my thoughts just a bit. I didn’t really think about [name]Silas[/name] ending with the same letter as the last name starts with. That bumps it off my list for you, I’m sorry. [name]Ronan[/name], [name]Rowan[/name], [name]Alexander[/name]!

Thanks everyone! Really fantastic feedback so far.

I love [name]Silas[/name]! I think [name]Silas[/name] sounds fine with your surname. Also, [name]Kellen[/name] and [name]Silas[/name] sound great together. My second favourite is [name]Alexander[/name].

I really like the name [name]Waylon[/name] with [name]Kellen[/name] and I do not think it is too country. [name]Waylon[/name] would be my top pick followed by [name]Ronan[/name] and [name]Rowan[/name] (like them both). While I like [name]Silas[/name] I agree that the S sounds might run together so my next choice would be [name]Alexander[/name]… such a nice classic name.

I love [name]Ronan[/name] and [name]Alexander[/name]!

My pick would be [name]Rowan[/name].

[name]Lovely[/name] name.

Sounds well with your surname and your sibset.

My pick is [name]Ronan[/name]! [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Crain[/name] sounds lovely. Congratulations, and let us know which you pick!

[name]Ronan[/name] or [name]Rowan[/name]!!! I heard a man call his little boy [name]Rowan[/name] the other day and thought it sounded wonderful!

I totally agree with this post. Good luck!

I love [name]Silas[/name]! Also love [name]Rowan[/name] “[name]Rowe[/name]”!

All great choices. I suggest [name]Tristan[/name]

I think [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Crain[/name] is wonderful with the great name of your first, [name]Kellen[/name] [name]Stuart[/name]. I also like [name]Rowan[/name] but for some reason always think of it as a girl’s name.

[name]Rowen[/name] gets my vote!

Congrats!

I love [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Crain[/name] with [name]Kellen[/name] [name]Stuart[/name]!

[name]Ronan[/name] would be my choice.

Either [name]Ronan[/name] (if you don’t mind the similar endings in “n” or [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Crain[/name] if you want a name that sounds different from [name]Kellen[/name]'s. If you go with [name]Rowan[/name] instead, please spell it correctly with an “a” not an “e”.
