I voted for [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] because it seems to flow better.
Aww, congratulations on your new baby. And for her name I really like [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] - so pretty, a bit vintage and just adorable! I dislike [name]Josephine[/name] because it’s so clunky and there are too many [name]Josie[/name] around. [name]Helena[/name] is less common, royal-sounding name with a lot of cute nicknames - [name]Nell[/name], [name]Lena[/name], [name]Elena[/name] and so and so.
I love both names, but I voted for [name]Helena[/name] simply because my friend had a baby girl [name]Josephine[/name] last week.
Congratulations! I voted for [name]Josephine[/name] but it was very hard to choose. [name]Both[/name] are lovely! I would’ve voted for both if I could.
I love love love [name]Josephine[/name], and with [name]Marguerite[/name] it is stellar! It flows very nicely, has a great history, literary references, and great nickname potential.
[name]Helena[/name] is nice, but just pales to [name]Josephine[/name] for me. [name]Josephine[/name] seems like a much fresher choice, even though both are classic names.
Congrats to you! I love the name [name]Josephine[/name] but with [name]Marguerite[/name] it’s a bit heavy on the “ee” sound and it may be an overdose of French names. [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] flows nicely. [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] would be lovely as siblings.
Does your baby look more like one name or the other?
[name]Helena[/name] most definitely and congrats!
Its so hard, she seems like she could fit either really. I couldnt decide whether [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] was french overkill or a nice pairing for that reason. We have some french background, but no significant ties. And, all ofthe name choices in some way honor family members that we love.
Congratulations on your baby! I voted for [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name], it’s very lovely. Good luck deciding on her name!
I prefer [name]Josephine[/name] on its own, but I think [name]Helena[/name] sounds better with [name]Marguerite[/name]. [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Marguerite[/name] share too many similar sounds. (And like mischa said, [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] would make cute sisters!)
Congratulations!! I vote [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name], because I think it flows nicer.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name]–both names on my list, as my grandmother was [name]Helen[/name], great-grandmother was [name]Helena[/name], and my own middle name is [name]Marguerite[/name] (after another great aunt). Would love to use this one myself!
Congratulations! I like [name]Josephine[/name] the best, but I like [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] better as a combo. [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] looks quite long, but honestly, I love it so much, that gets my vote. Besides, a [name]Josephine[/name] doesn’t have to be [name]Josie[/name] (although she could be if you liked!)–there’s [name]Posy[/name], [name]Poppy[/name], Sephie/Sephy, [name]Fifi[/name], [name]Fina[/name], [name]Effie[/name], etc. [name]Josephine[/name] is lovely!
Good luck!
i voted for [name]Helena[/name] because I prefer the meaning (bright shining one) over that of [name]Josephine[/name] and I prefer the way it sounds with [name]Marguerite[/name].
[name]Helena[/name] is much prettier!
[name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] is a much more balanced and mellifluous name. You need that vowel sound at the end (the -a) to lilt into [name]Marguerite[/name]. Also, [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Marguerite[/name] have nearly identical meters, with the last syllable stressed, so the name sounds repetitive and sing-songy.
he-[name]LAY[/name]-na mar-gue-RITE nicely separates the stress and has a good balance between vowel & consonant sounds
jo-se-PHINE mar-gue-RITE is repetitive and has identical phonetic stcutures: open-open-closed syllable, starts & ends with consonants, etc.
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] is GORGEOUS!
[name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name]!!
While I prefer [name]Josephine[/name] overall, I think it’s way too much name with [name]Marguerite[/name] in the middle. I think they would make a great sibset though…
So [name]Helena[/name] [name]Marguerite[/name] gets my vote for flow!
