Atticus Golden vs. Atticus Noble

I’ve wanted [name_m]Noble[/name_m] for a middle name for a boy for like 3 years now. It is my amazing great-grandmother’s middle/maiden name, and I love it. My DH and I have had a hard time agreeing on first names. I like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], he likes [name_u]Golden[/name_u]. We both agreed on [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] yesterday, so I’ve been thinking [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m], but today he said, “what about [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Golden[/name_u].” Our last name sounds just like [name_m]Anderson[/name_m], with a bit of a different ending. I’m not sure that I like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Golden[/name_u], and I have been so set on the mn [name_m]Noble[/name_m].

I prefer Nobel by far. You both agreed on [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], your son will have DHs surname. I’d push for [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] Nobel to honor your family!

I agree with the pp. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] sounds [name_m]WAY[/name_m] better. Maybe, if he insists, you could use a name that means [name_u]Golden[/name_u] and do 2 middles? Like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] [name_m]Aurelius[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]?

If not, then definitely [name_m]Noble[/name_m]. It sounds so much better and besides, you both like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], the baby gets his surname, you should get something for you and your family too.

I agree with those above as well. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is by far the best!

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is a fabulous combo.

Definately think [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is better…but again as previously suggested, perhaps you could replace ‘[name_m]Noble[/name_m]’ with a name that means noble? Something like [name_m]Alvin[/name_m], [name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_m]Elvin[/name_m], [name_m]Ansell[/name_m], or [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]? But I still think definitely [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is better than [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Golden[/name_u], and I think its a good idea to honour the family

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is perfect - don’t change it!

Personally I like [name_m]Noble[/name_m] better then [name_u]Golden[/name_u]. I would say that it’s fair to point out that he is going to have your partner’s surname, perhaps you should get the tie breaking vote for the middle name, especially since its a family name.

Good luck and congratulations!

Knowing that [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is a family name, I definitely have to say [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m]. It sounds much better and it has personal meaning.

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m], most definitely.

I don’t like [name_u]Golden[/name_u] at all. I think [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] sounds great! [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is a guilty pleasure name for me.
