Atticus - I like it, but need your input!

We have 3 months to figure out a name for our boy! The names my husband and I agree on as of now are:

[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
*possibly [name_m]Orrin[/name_m] &
*possibly [name_m]Truman[/name_m]

[name_f]My[/name_f] husbands favorite right now is [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]. I think it is my favorite too, but does it go well with my sib set (written in my signature)? Also, my last name starts with a K. Would there be too muck “K” sound?

I like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] because it is a nod to my Greek ancestors. It is also the character in my husbands favorite book

[name_m]Truman[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] are my other two favorites (out of the small list we agree on).

Which names fit in best with our family? Thank you for your input!

I also really like [name_m]Walden[/name_m], but I haven’t brought it up to my husband yet.

I think [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] would fit well with your sib list but it may sound a little heavy on the K sound of your last name also starts with K, but I wouldn’t let that be a deal breaker. You could get yourself in the habit of taking a little pause in between saying “this is my son, [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] pause K…”

I do love the name and I associate it with To Kill a Mockingbird, my favorite book. It’s such a wise, strong name and I just can’t help but envision [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Finch[/name_u]. Such a great character with sturdy morals. I love it! It’s also a great way to honor your Greek heritage like you mentioned.

[name_f]My[/name_f] second choice off your list would be [name_m]Truman[/name_m]. But I do really love [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] the best with your other children’s names

[name_m]Delmer[/name_m] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] are definitely both unusual, but [name_m]Delmer[/name_m] has a much rounder, old-fashioned sound while [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] is sharp with a modern flair.
I think [name_m]Truman[/name_m] goes best with [name_m]Delmer[/name_m], but there’s no rule that says your sibsets have to match perfectly. As I said, they are both unusual so it’s not as though it’s [name_m]Delmer[/name_m] and [name_u]Jayden[/name_u].
If you love it, I definitely think it could work.

ooo, I love [name_m]Walden[/name_m] with your sibset too!

I think [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] fits in really well with [name_m]Delmer[/name_m] and [name_u]June[/name_u]. They all three are a bit quirky sounding and all old fashioned and charming, so I think it works!

[name_m]Delmer[/name_m], [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] are beyond wonderful! [name_m]Walden[/name_m] doesnt change that statement one bit! so either is great!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts!! It always helps to get extra input.

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] sounds great with your sibset! [name_m]Delmer[/name_m], [name_u]June[/name_u] and [name_m]Truman[/name_m] would be darling too.

[name_m]Orrin[/name_m] and [name_m]Walden[/name_m] are the best matches for [name_m]Delmer[/name_m] (which I find irresistible!).

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like any of these :)? …

[name_m]Delmer[/name_m] {and}

[name_m]Albert[/name_m], [name_m]Armand[/name_m], [name_m]Arvid[/name_m], [name_m]Bertram[/name_m], [name_m]Buford[/name_m], [name_m]Chester[/name_m], [name_m]Clarence[/name_m], [name_m]Clement[/name_m], [name_m]Clifford[/name_m], [name_m]Cuthbert[/name_m], [name_m]Edwin[/name_m], [name_m]Egbert[/name_m], [name_m]Ellsworth[/name_m], [name_m]Ernest[/name_m], [name_m]Eugene[/name_m], [name_m]Ferdinand[/name_m], [name_m]Floyd[/name_m], [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m], [name_m]Godfrey[/name_m], [name_m]Granville[/name_m], [name_m]Harold[/name_m], [name_m]Herbert[/name_m], [name_m]Herman[/name_m], [name_m]Homer[/name_m], [name_m]Horace[/name_m], [name_m]Hubert[/name_m], [name_m]Humphrey[/name_m], [name_m]Jethro[/name_m], [name_m]Lester[/name_m], [name_m]Oswald[/name_m], [name_m]Otis[/name_m], [name_m]Maynard[/name_m], [name_m]Milton[/name_m], [name_m]Morris[/name_m], [name_m]Mortimer[/name_m], [name_m]Myron[/name_m], [name_m]Norbert[/name_m], [name_m]Orville[/name_m], [name_m]Randolph[/name_m], [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u], [name_m]Rudolph[/name_m], [name_m]Rufus[/name_m], [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Seymour[/name_m], [name_m]Sherwood[/name_m], [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m], [name_u]Verne[/name_u], [name_u]Wallace[/name_u], [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m], [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m], [name_m]Willard[/name_m], [name_m]Willis[/name_m]

Thank you for these suggestions!! I love [name_m]Ernest[/name_m]!! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband doesn’t love it though. I also like [name_m]Bertram[/name_m], [name_m]Jethro[/name_m], [name_m]Oswald[/name_m], and [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m].

I like it, but I prefer [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] and [name_m]Truman[/name_m].

I adore the name [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]! I wish that my husband loved it too- I think it’s so handsome! I also love [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], either would be a stunning choice I think

Thank you for your thoughts!
