Attis?

So I brought a book today and one of the main characters is called Attis. I really love the name [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] but feel it’s getting very popular so Attis sounds like a cool alternative. What do you think?

I think it’s really cool! Like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] meets [name_u]Atlas[/name_u]

I like the sound, but I think I’d just go for [name_m]Otis[/name_m], which sounds really similar but is more familiar and easier to spell!

I like it!
Nice echo of [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], and I myself prefer it to [name_m]Otis[/name_m], which has never rung my chimes.
A similar option could be [name_u]Addis[/name_u].

Attis is very cool - I really like the sound!

(Intrigued by what book it is  because I’m nosy)

I love it. I stumbled upon the name [name_u]Addis[/name_u] a couple months back. It’s also the capital of [name_f]Ethiopia[/name_f]. [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] cool if you ask me. :sunny:

It feels a bit incomplete to me, and also a bit like ‘attic’.

hmm it’s intriguing but I’m not a big fan personally. It looks incomplete to me

It sounds quite cool, but unfortunately kind of reminds me of “attic“ visually, as mentioned already. I can think of [name_m]Mattis[/name_m] (Variation of Matthew) as a very similar name.

I doquier like the sound but prefer the spelling Attus as I find the -us ending more natural looking.

I like Attis! It’s fun and fresh, but feels like it could be some obscure victorian name (in a good way!). :candle: :leaves:
