I loved the name [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_m]Dax[/name_m] but my husband sadly vetoed. I honestly think his dislike was more with [name_m]Dax[/name_m] than with [name_u]Lionel[/name_u].
I have been playing around with more combinations even though we decided on another name.
But wondering thoughts on [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_m]Aubin[/name_m]?
I love the [name_u]French[/name_u] sound of [name_m]Aubin[/name_m] and heard it is very popular right now in [name_f]France[/name_f]. I don’t love the meaning but a lot of names mean “white” I guess. It can also mean “bright” from what I have read. I would only use it as a middle.
Ooh [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_m]Aubin[/name_m] is cute

I think [name_m]Aubin[/name_m] is cool, but it sounds weird in [name_f]English[/name_f] to me. I would also prefer [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] or [name_u]Robin[/name_u], especially if you’re in an [name_f]English[/name_f] speaker.
Not sure how important this is, but figured I’d go ahead and add that it’s not super popular in [name_f]France[/name_f] rn (ranked #256 in 2018), although it is gaining in popularity there.
I read it’s getting popular in [name_f]France[/name_f] but didn’t look at where it ranks.
Aubrey is too girl name for me and also prefer [name_u]Robin[/name_u] for a girl spelled [name_f]Robyn[/name_f].
I thought [name_m]Aubin[/name_m] was just refreshing! Have definitely not heard it in the states. I’m not sure - Aw-bin is how I would pronounce it? Are there different pronunciations?

I love [name_m]Aubin[/name_m]! [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_m]Aubin[/name_m] sounds nice. You might also like [name_u]Auden[/name_u].

How about [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_u]Dash[/name_u]?
Lionel [name_m]Aubin[/name_m] is nice, but I don’t like the flow as much.
Oh okay, if you’re pronouncing it as aw-bin that makes it not so awkward in [name_f]English[/name_f]. I assumed you were pronouncing it the [name_u]French[/name_u] way since you mentioned [name_f]France[/name_f].
Aubin definitely does feel refreshing! [name_u]Auden[/name_u] is a great suggestion as well! I meant to mention it in my first post but forgot lol

I’m sure everything sounds better with a [name_u]French[/name_u] accent
I like [name_m]Aubin[/name_m] maybe because it has the same feel to me as [name_u]Corbin[/name_u], which I love but is off limits to me since a good friend used it.
Hmmm though [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_u]Auden[/name_u]. That is also nice and could grow on me. I have a cousin named [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] so try to avoid all the “[name_f]Aud[/name_f]” names but I do like it.
I know, [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] [name_m]Dax[/name_m] was so dapper to me! I just loved that combo so much but husband has funny taste in names! He really doesn’t like [name_m]Dax[/name_m] and I’m guessing he wouldn’t like [name_u]Dash[/name_u]. I have to say [name_u]Dash[/name_u] reminds me of the Kardashians unfortunately so I’m not sure if i would like it either even though that association shouldn’t ruin a name!
It’s a nice combo
Have you discovered the name [name_u]Auden[/name_u]? It’s along the same lines, so thought it might appeal. I think it’s Norwegian
Oh wait someone already suggested that
I’ve never heard of it, but it has an interesting sound.
