Lately the name [name]Aubrey[/name]'s been growing on me more and more. I used to think it would not age well, and it was too juvenile and immature a name, but now I’m starting to second guess that.
And I do like [name]Aubrey[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] as a combo.
If I can’t have [name]Averie[/name], and [name]Avery[/name] is not right, then maybe [name]Aubrey[/name] can work?
I like [name]Avery[/name], and [name]Audrey[/name]. But not [name]Aubrey[/name]. To me it sounds like a toddler’s mispronunciation.
Hmmm, maybe [name]Aurie[/name]??
[name]Aubrey[/name] is one of those names that, no matter how popular it gets for girls, I will always think of as a boys’ name - most likely because it’s a family name, but also because I just think it sounds masculine. That’s probably why I’ve always preferred [name]Audra[/name] (and even [name]Audrina[/name]) over [name]Audrey[/name], too.
I don’t think it’s juvenile, but the only [name]Aubrey[/name] I know is a muscley, 6 ft tall man.
I do know 2 little girl [name]Audrey[/name]'s that I think are adorable. I think either is fine on a girl and ages equally as well as [name]Avery[/name] (which I only like on a boy).
I prefer [name]Aubrey[/name] on a boy, but I will say that I know an [name]Aubrey[/name] who is ~29 y.o. and the name doesn’t make her seem immature. I just don’t like that she goes by the nn “Aubs.” If I used [name]Aubrey[/name] on my daughter, I’d fight any nicknames and insist on her being called just [name]Aubrey[/name].
I don’t find it juvenile or masculine, as the only [name]Aubrey[/name] I know is a high school girl, but I don’t like the name. I do like [name]Audrey[/name] tho!
I live in the Midwest and the only [name]Aubrey[/name] I know is a girl… I’ve never even heard of it used for a boy. I think it’s a pretty name and is definitely something that would age well. I probably prefer [name]Audrey[/name], but I still like [name]Aubrey[/name].
I don’t think it’s juvenile. [name]One[/name] of my son’s playmates is named [name]Aubrianna[/name] (which I think sounds very grown up) and goes by Aubri. Maybe that would work for you?
I don’t think it sounds juvenile. The only [name]Aubrey[/name] I know is a 20-something woman. She’s frequently called Aub, which I don’t love. I do think I like [name]Audrey[/name] better.
