Auburn.......out of curiosity? :)

[name]Hi[/name] [name]Auburn[/name],

It’s a shame you can’t private message on here!

Wanting to be inspired! Hehe. Oh and of course anyone else with ideas feel free to chime in!

[name]Hi[/name] ljandrl! Yes, it is a pity …

Well, I just feel that with the full name [name]Claudia[/name], there would be no doubts about her name fitting with some of the other ‘vintage upper class’ names that you like, such as [name]Mirabella[/name] and [name]Rosalia[/name].

Having thought about it a little, though, I’m not sure it matters too much. A good half of girls/women I know go exclusively by a nickname, even in formal situations. I think it’s common enough here that people would assume a [name]Claudie[/name] is in fact [name]Claudia[/name] (but wouldn’t call her that) so her name would still seem perfectly congruent with choices such as [name]Mirabella[/name], without you having to use a full name you do not like as much as the nickname.

Names in the same style as [name]Claudia[/name] (although I’ve probably suggested them all before … Sorry!) :
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Flora[/name] (repeating sounds, so perhaps [name]Florence[/name] instead)
[name]Sylvia[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
[name]Theresa[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Cecilia[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Angelica[/name] (oops, I remember you’re already considering this one)
[name]Francesca[/name]
[name]Alice[/name] (popular though)
[name]Eloise[/name]
[name]Cosima[/name] (same initial sound, though)
[name]Helena[/name]
[name]Rowena[/name]
Xavia
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Halcyon[/name]
[name]Polly[/name] (a nn for [name]Apolline[/name], maybe?)
[name]Ottilie[/name]
[name]Celeste[/name]/[name]Celestine[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Antonia[/name]
[name]Dorothy[/name]/[name]Dorothea[/name].

[name]Auburn[/name]

Thanks for the suggestions again, you’re amazingly patient! Lol.

[name]Adelaide[/name] - lovely but don’t like the nn [name]Addie[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] - I love it, I especially love [name]Beatriz[/name] but my partner hates the name :frowning:
[name]Beatrice[/name] - as above
[name]Sylvia[/name] - I do love this, I once had a French boss, a really sweet lady called [name]Sylvia[/name]. I’m drawn to [name]Sylvie[/name] but the more I think about it the more I think I actually prefer [name]Sylvia[/name], it sounds a little softer to me.
[name]Lydia[/name] - this is on the middles list. It’s definitely my style though if it weren’t for popularity!
[name]Theresa[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name] - I like this but my partner hates it again :frowning: He does like [name]Tessa[/name] though and it’s already on the list!
[name]Juliet[/name] - This is lovely and I love [name]Julie[/name] for a nn surprisingly even though it may be a tad my Mum’s generation! [name]Will[/name] run this by the partner
[name]Cecilia[/name]/[name]Cecily[/name] - I love both these names especially [name]Cecilia[/name], I have it on my list for middles, but can’t bring myself to commit to it for a first and I’m not sure why. Maybe I think it’s too soft.
[name]Angelica[/name] (oops, I remember you’re already considering this one) - Yup this is one of my partners top 3!
[name]Cosima[/name] (same initial sound, though) - A bit “out there” for me.
Xavia - This is innnnnnteresting! Is this a legit name?
[name]Charlotte[/name] - too common
[name]Halcyon[/name] - [name]How[/name] would I pronounce this? Never heard of it. Not sure it’s my style though. I like the [name]Hal[/name] beginning though.
[name]Ottilie[/name] - not too keen, makes me think of Otters lol
[name]Celeste[/name]/[name]Celestine[/name] - definitely on the middle name list but not strong enough to me to be a first
[name]Antonia[/name] - Not wowed by it

Well that did inspire me a little! I need to think about [name]Sylvia[/name]/[name]Silvia[/name], [name]Juliet[/name], [name]Thea[/name], Xavia, [name]Cecilia[/name] and [name]Helena[/name] a little more

Thank you!
