Audrey & Harper... Cute pair or odd couple?

What are your thoughts about a sib set of [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u]? I feel like they’re such different styles but that it could maybe work.

My favorite combo:

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] & [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

Please give me your opinions!

They are OK together. It’s not a pairing that makes one exclaim, oh those sound great together, but they are not bad together.

[name_u]Leslie[/name_u]

I agree with this.

I feel like they sound like a regular set of siblings. I think they’re totally believable as sisters in real life.

So often (and I am totally guilty of this) on Nameberry, we look for the MOST ideal sibset that perfectly compliment without being matchy or forced, neither in a pair outshadowing the other. This is a regular quotidian sibset, and I think the down-to-earth vibe benefits [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] as a pair.

Thanks everyone!

What are your favorite alternatives to [name_u]Harper[/name_u] (keeping [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as the middle)?

I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] sound great together! I also like:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]

Here are my suggestions:

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and…

[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] (or [name_u]Harper[/name_u]) [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] ( or [name_u]Harper[/name_u]) [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] (or [name_u]Harper[/name_u]) [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

Some suggestions using the middle name [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]…

[name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Brielle[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Linnea[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

Better yet…
I would switch the middle names around with the longer first names and the shorter middle names…

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Annika[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

Here are some other names that you might consider using with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]…

[name_f]Elena[/name_f]*
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]*
[name_f]Alexa[/name_f]*
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_f]Colette[/name_f]
[name_f]Marielle[/name_f]*
[name_f]Justine[/name_f]
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]*
[name_f]Nicole[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]*
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]*

I would use the middle name [name_f]Rose[/name_f] with the three syllable names, for example …

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_u]Fifer[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] would be cute. Or [name_u]Piper[/name_u]?

I actually love [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] together! I agree with medfordkung that they sound believable as sisters. Really cute, classic names.

But, if you want an alternative to [name_u]Harper[/name_u]:

  • [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (something different. I’m not totally sold on [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] as a feminine name, but I’m into it being paired with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] sound cool together)
  • [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (shares the “ar” and musical meaning with [name_u]Harper[/name_u])
  • [name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ([name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Piper[/name_u] seem to go hand-in-hand)

I’m still a huge fan of [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] though

I think they sound lovely together!

I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] go really well together, without being predictable. Both have a sort of chic, tailored, high-fashion vibe to them to me (think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn and [name_u]Harper[/name_u]'s Bazaar).

One of my favourite [name_u]Harper[/name_u] alternatives is [name_u]Fifer[/name_u], as previously mentioned. Or [name_f]Aster[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Hester[/name_f], Hesper, [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_f]Honor[/name_f], [name_f]Clover[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Rumer[/name_f]…?

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Honor[/name_f] would be great, actually! Or [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] - both strong, pretty and vintage.

I agree with @katinka: [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] go nicely together, as they have a chic, tailored high-fashion vibe, as well as an old Hollywood feel.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] feel like a very natural pair of sisters in 2017. They’re both popular names.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] work beautifully together imo.

Alternatives for [name_u]Harper[/name_u] that I can think of:

[name_f]Hailey[/name_f]/[name_u]Haley[/name_u]/[name_f]Haylee[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

I love these, but I also think that you could switch it to [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Harper[/name_u]–unless you specifically want [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as the middle name. I love [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and think you could use [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (could call her [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]!), [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], or [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]!

I like old hollywood names with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
[name_f]Veronica[/name_f], [name_f]Greta[/name_f], [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_u]Vivien[/name_u], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Rita[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]…
If you like that idea but want the option to use more modern sounding names like [name_u]Harper[/name_u] you could look at last names like, [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] or [name_f]Harlow[/name_f].

I think they sound great together. Both of their usage is on trend and they compliment each other nicely. I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is a bit more timeless, whereas [name_u]Harper[/name_u] may seem a bit time stamped eventually (time will tell) but i think its tailored feel makes up for that.

Trends aside I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] & [name_u]Harper[/name_u] totally go together! They are both sweet sounding and girly (I know [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is unisex but it feels all girl to me!). They both have two syllables and don’t sound too matchy.

I tend to have more of an issue with stylistically matched names where neither one stands out and they can sort of blend together too much. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] & Harper feels like two strong individual identities that sound lovely as pair to me.
