We almost chose [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] for my DD. I still love it but I feel like we have limited ourselves to a shorter middle because her full name is only three syllables (still sorta wish we had used it… shhhh!!).
But maybe we name nerds are really the only ones who worry about this sort of thing??
I don’t think you need to limit yourself to a shorter middle name with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] just because [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is only three syllables long, as pp said. However, short middle names do make the name feel extra elegant, imo. I think [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is gorgeous.
I love the suggestion of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] but I also think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or maybe [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] would work well.
I really like the suggestion of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is nice too though. I don’t think the non-matching lengths matters much.
I think [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is beautiful! I wouldn’t worry about the syllable difference between siblings’ names. My daughter has four syllables in her name and my son has two. No one has ever commented on or noticed this.
If you’re wanting a shorter middle name for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] though, I like the suggestion of [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and I think [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] would also be nice. If you’re looking for another floral option, [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is pretty and pairs well with [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
