Audrey?

When you hear the name [name]Audrey[/name], what do you think of?

Also, any good nicknames you can think of?

Thanks

[name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn. Immediately and almost exclusively. This is a fantastic connection.

The name by itself is great; the first half of it has a cool, distinctive sound, with a nice quick ending. I think spunk and whimsical, girly and strong. Not frilly, but very feminine.

I know a little girl named this and she goes by Auj occasionally, spelled as such by her parents. [name]Dree[/name]/[name]Ree[/name] would work as well. [name]Audrey[/name] is a short name and wouldn’t have to be shortened most of the time, so a nickname isn’t a big deal as I see it.

I can’t fall in love with [name]Audrey[/name], she seems a bit prissy to me, whereas [name]Andrea[/name] reels me in.

rollo

[name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn always. Nicknames could be Drey/[name]Dree[/name], [name]Audie[/name]/[name]Audy[/name], Auj. But it’s a pretty simple name so not sure a NN is even needed really…

Agree with above comments! [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn!
[name]Dree[/name]/[name]Ree[/name] is a cute nickname. If I was named [name]Audrey[/name], my mom would’ve called me [name]Audra[/name]. Not sure why.

My grandmother! And Ms Hepburn, of course. [name]Audrey[/name] is top of my list. I think it’s a beautiful name, but it’s an honour name for me, too. My grandmother is nicknamed [name]Audie[/name] by her next door neighbour’s children.

AudreyHepburn, definitely. I cannot describe my love for this name, one of my absolute favourites! And as it has been said above, it is already a relatively short name so a nickname isn’t a huge necessity.

My youngest niece is [name]Audrey[/name] (not quite a year old). The family nn for her is [name]Ree[/name]-[name]Ree[/name] or [name]Rea[/name] ([name]REE[/name]-[name]AH[/name]). Not sure if they will stick. My husband calls her “the [name]Ree[/name]-sta”…but that’s to annoy his brother about it!

I think [name]Audrey[/name] is adorable. Like many previous posters have said, I think of the timeless and elegant [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn.

Possible nicknames:

[name]Auden[/name]
[name]Audi[/name]/[name]Audie[/name]/[name]Audy[/name]
[name]Aure[/name]
[name]Dree[/name]

I think of [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn or an old lady I know. I might be in the minority here but it’s a name I can’t picture on a small child at all, I find it very dated but not of the ‘old enough to come back’ kind. I think the other ladies have covered most of the nicknames, though with the -rey sound on the end you could use [name]Rea[/name]/[name]Ria[/name] or [name]Drea[/name]/Dria as well.
