Audrey's MN

So it’s official, we’re having baby girl #2! Our first daughter is [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name]. We love [name]Audrey[/name], but are having trouble with the MN. Hubby loves [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name], it feels “old” to me, but at least not super popular. I like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Camille[/name] and posted it another board and got good info. Someone mentioned that we should use a virtue name for her MN like her sister’s name ([name]Grace[/name]). I like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faith[/name], but is [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Faith[/name] too matchy matchy? I’m afraid that’s a bit over the top. What do you guys think?

Other suggestions are welcome!

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Leanne[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Erin[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faith[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Hope[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] (we talked about this on here before, I like it but [name]Kate[/name] is soooo popular)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Of your choices, I really like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Camille[/name]. I think using another virtue name is too matchy, but you could use a name that also means ‘grace’, such as [name]Anne[/name] or [name]Annabel[/name].

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Helena[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Milena[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Camille[/name] - love!
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Leanne[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Erin[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faith[/name] - how about [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name], Nameberry says that [name]Faye[/name] is a variation of [name]Faith[/name].
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Hope[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] (we talked about this on here before, I like it but [name]Kate[/name] is soooo popular) - love!

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Brynn[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Plum[/name]

I really love [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name]!

[name]Hannah[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name] are really cute together, and I think you SHOULD use a one-syllable middle name like [name]Grace[/name] for [name]Audrey[/name], but it doesn’t need to be a virtue name.

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Belle[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Cate[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Jade[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Joy[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Lark[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Nell[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Paige[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Sage[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Shea[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Sloane[/name]

Like any of those names?

I like several of those name listed. I just feel like it needs to be something traditional to coordinate with [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name].

I like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Cate[/name], but [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn’s MN was [name]Katharine[/name], I’m not that much of a fan
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is OK, not in love
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name]- Does [name]Faye[/name] seem a little outdated? It’s right there with [name]Nicole[/name] for me.

Thanks for the suggestions!

[name]Faye[/name] doesn’t seem like [name]Nicole[/name] for me, it seems more old-Hollywood for some reason. And, I don’t know if you need to go super traditional to match [name]Grace[/name] since [name]Grace[/name] is such a timeless name.

Also, I think the spelling of [name]Cate[/name] or even [name]Cait[/name] would help avoid the [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn associations, and I think the name flows beautifully with [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name]. I wouldn’t have even thought of Hepburn’s middle name, honestly!

The other classic choices are [name]Claire[/name], [name]Anne[/name], [name]Beth[/name], [name]Bess[/name], [name]Blythe[/name], [name]Nell[/name], [name]Rose[/name], [name]Jane[/name], and even [name]Shea[/name], in my opinion. [name]Do[/name] you have any one-syllable family names?

My friend named her daughter [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Quinn[/name], so that is the name that comes to mind for me.

I also like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name]. I think it is beautiful and it does not feel outdated.

Similarly I like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Cate[/name]. [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn’s mn was actually [name]Kathleen[/name] and she had no relation to [name]Katharine[/name] Hepburn. So, I think that if you were to use [name]Cate[/name], as opposed to [name]Kate[/name], you would probably avoid any association. [name]Even[/name] [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] would probably be fine. If anything [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] seem like a combo that has a very subtle nod to Hollywood glamour names, and I mean very subtle.

I don’t think most people know that [name]Audrey[/name]'s middle name was [name]Kate[/name]. [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Cate[/name] is lovely.
[name]Faye[/name] is a retro name. Sounds way older than [name]Nichole[/name]. [name]Love[/name] [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name], too!
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name]/[name]Cate[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name] are all very pretty but are different. [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Kate[/name] sounds sweet. [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Cate[/name] looks cool. [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Faye[/name] sounds vintage.

I think that [name]Audrey[/name] is beautiful, too. [name]Audrey[/name] Hepburn’s middle name was actually [name]Kathleen[/name], not [name]Katherine[/name], so if you like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Katherine[/name], you don’t have to worry about it appearing as though you named your baby after her.

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] came to mind…

Best wishes to you!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]!

I love [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Camille[/name]!

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Gail[/name]

Of your original options, I love [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Camille[/name]! If you want to go with a one syllable name to match [name]Grace[/name], I really liked the idea of [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] because [name]Blythe[/name] also means happiness, which is sort of like a virtue without being too matchy-matchy.

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]/[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Adella[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]/[name]Delphine[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Flora[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] Maryrose

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Paige[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Michelle[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Brooke[/name]

I personally prefer the K spelling for [name]Kate[/name] and prefer it as a first name as opposed to a middle name. But, it may all flow together, hard to say without knowing your last name.

[name]Audrey[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] sounds nice (not old), I think the A and the E flow well, maybe a vowel thing? It also looks nice written together, the y’s probably. [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Eve[/name] might be an option for you.

Funny, after looking at it more closely, I actually prefer the [name]Cate[/name] spelling over the [name]Kate[/name] spelling with [name]Audrey[/name]. Funny since I truly prefer the [name]Kate[/name] spelling hands down in general! Maybe its because [name]Cate[/name] is used as a middle as opposed to the first. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but it just seems to work better with [name]Audrey[/name].

I love the name [name]Audrey[/name] and I’m super excited you’re using it as a first!

I like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] from your original choices, and I like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Belle[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Rose[/name] as choices for a shorter middle. [name]Hannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is super pretty, and I can definitely see either of these three along with it.

Good luck
