I like them both very much but with [name]Carver[/name] as a last name I would have to pass on [name]Cale[/name]. It is a nice name but [name]Cale[/name] [name]Carver[/name] is too much alliteration for meand sounds sing songy too. [name]August[/name] [name]Lane[/name] [name]Carver[/name] sounds strong and classy! Nice choice! If you picked a B middle name he could have ABC as his initials too!

I love [name]Cale[/name] best:) Also the vegetable is spelled with a K and really I’ve never aten the vege so I never knew about it until I loved the name [name]Cale[/name] and people said that. I say who cares? Its cute, different, ages well. [name]How[/name] many girls who names have [name]Ann[/name] or [name]Anna[/name] in them get called [name]Banana[/name]? Take the name [name]Ellery[/name] that rhymes celery its still gorgeous i[name]Mo[/name]. I love [name]Cale[/name] go for it. [name]Don[/name]'t let that lame excuse of a vege get in the way. [name]Kale[/name] is a plant there is no difference to me.
My vote was with [name]Cale[/name] until I saw your last name. Though [name]Cale[/name] could still work if you love it, I’d lean towards [name]August[/name].
[name]August[/name] is hands down one of the best names ever! It’s strong and handsome, timeless but with a distinct modern appeal, classic but not at all boring and in fact a bit edgy even, has a great balance of sounds, has a certain softness to it while remaining extremely masculine, is familiar but not overused, very distinguished and serious sounding while still having a playful side ([name]Gus[/name]).

BUT, I can’t get behind [name]Lane[/name] in the middle - [name]Lane[/name] to me is a either a girl’s name (and not a great one at that) or a synonym for road.
The flow of a one syllable middle with a long a sound, however, does work quite well with [name]August[/name]. [name]How[/name] about:
