Augusta

Lately, the name [name]Augusta[/name] has been on my mind. I really love the name. It sounds very regal.

[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Augusta[/name]? Know any good middle names for it?

This post caught my eye as we live in [name]Augusta[/name], GA. I think it would be a lovely name for a girl, as long as your last name isn’t “Wind”
I agree with you that it does sound quite regal!

Best wishes-
[name]Tara[/name]

Top of my list if I ever have another daughter! I absolutely love it!
I especially love the combos [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Augusta[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]!
I could see how it’s the kind of name, though, that people will probably either love or hate, but I don’t see any potential harm in using it if you’re one of us who loves it

I think it’s nice. A little clunky, but refreshing. It may not be the easiest name to pull off.

[name]Augusta[/name] is a Latin name for “majestic or venerable” so it is indeed “regal”! I quite like this name as it is not popular and has strong, old-fashioned Southern feel to it. Some middle name suggestions could be the following:

When I think of the name [name]Augusta[/name], I think of this:

I love it! We were married in the month of [name]August[/name] so [name]Augusta[/name] has made our girls list and [name]August[/name] for boys for meaning. I think [name]Gussie[/name] is cute, so is [name]Gus[/name]. But I like boyish nicnames on girls.

[name]August[/name] and [name]Augustus[/name] are on my boy list but I’ve never thought about giving it to a girl! I love it! Very pretty and elegant.

I love it! [name]Augustine[/name] is pretty too! The only thing that puts me off is the place name aspect

Two of my teachers have daughters named [name]Augusta[/name].
I think it’s a lovely name, but would probably use it as a middle name myself.

This name has a very personal connection to me. My great-great grandmother’s name (from Germany) was [name]Augusta[/name]. My middle name is [name]Augusta[/name] and my daughter’s middle name is [name]Augusta[/name]. I love it! And my daughter loves her middle name too. If she has a girl, she will name her [name]Augusta[/name].

I really like it, and thought it would be a lovely way to honor my DH since his birthday is in [name]August[/name] but he hates it. I love seeing it on other people’s lists. Good luck!

I really like it, but I don’t know if I could use it. Middle name for sure.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Augusta[/name]. I agree that it sounds so regal yet it is still wearable. I never really thought about using it to honor someone born in [name]August[/name] but I think sounds great and makes it even more meaningful

I had a great grandmother named [name]Augusta[/name] whose parents were from Germany. She went by her middle name [name]Dora[/name], but I really love [name]Augusta[/name]!! If I had a bunch of daughters, I’d surely name one [name]Augusta[/name].
