[name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce the name [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]?
edit: I would pronounce it aw-ray-lee-a based purely on the character from Love, Actually.

I’ve always thought it was “or-[name_f]ELL[/name_f]-ya”
I know others will say “or-ah-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-ya”
I know it’s probably not correct, but when I first saw this name I thought it was said uh-rool-ee-uh.
Uh-reel-ya.
Aw - RAIL - ee - uh
I would pronounce it as ah-rail-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-uh, but I could be totally off! I have always been a little curious as to how others pronounced this name as well!
I can’t lie, every time I see it I just think Areola.
I think it’s like “[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lee-uh” though.
I say aw-REEL-yuh or sometimes aw-REEL-ee-uh.
Aww-rel-ee-uh
^I pronounce it that way too, only because that’s how a girl at my school pronounces it.
Or-[name_u]Ray[/name_u] -lee-uh
I usually say aw-[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lee-ah or maybe aw-REEL-ee-ah…
aw-ray-lee-a … never heard it any other way
I say Or-[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lee-uh, and it’s the only way I like it.
Or-[name_u]REY[/name_u]-lee-uh and I love the name
I would say Or-really-ah.
I’d pronounce it Aur-reel-ia (to rhyme with [name_f]Celia[/name_f]) in an English speaking country - but assuming if I was in a Spanish/Portuguese/Italian speaking country it would be Aur-rey-lia.
In Australia, I’d say aw-REE-lee-uh ( ‘aw’ as in the word ‘or’ in Aus, or like a short version of the aw in ‘paw’, ree as in reebok)
In Western Europe, I’d probably say roughly ow-REY-lee-a (ow as in how or sound)
In the UK I’d guess aw-REY-lee-uh or aw-REE-lee-uh
In the USA I’d probably guess at something like aw-RAIL-yuh (but I’ve never been to the USA, so that would only be a guess).
I pronounce it are-rel-ee-uh.
I agree with the second way. Something like “aw-reel-ee-uh”.
